Animal Boarding Contract

This Contract for Animal Storage Services, is made by and between (Name of Individual or business "Owner," located at: _____ ) and (Name of Individual or business "Bailee," located at: _____ ) on (specify date). WHEREAS, the parties desire that Bailee provide storage services for Owner with respect to the following pet or animal(s) ("Animal," specify); and WHEREAS, Bailee accepts such responsibilities and agrees to perform such duties as specified herein; NOW, THEREFORE, FOR VALUABLE CONSIDERATION SET FORTH HEREIN, THE PARTIES AGREE AS FOLLOWS: 1. This Agreement will commence on (specify date). 2. The Bailee agrees to render the following services: (specify in detail, including manner of care, feeding, exercise and shelter, veterinary care, etc.). 3. The subject Animal will be stored at (specify location). Bailee has inspected the Animal prior to storing same and states that such Animal is in good condition (with the exception of: specify). 4. The Bailee agrees to exercise reasonable care to protect the Animal from harm or theft and shall maintain adequate insurance in the face amount of no less than $X to protect Owner from any loss or damage caused by Bailee's negligence. At all times during this Agreement shall title in the Animal remain with Owner. The parties agree that the value of Animal for insurance purposes shall be $X. Bailee agrees to store and care for the Animal in conformity with all appropriate state and local health rules and regulations. 5. Bailee will be paid a monthly fee of $X, including refundable security of $X. Additional expenses including veterinary bills may also be due upon the presentment of receipts documenting same. 6. This Agreement will have an initial term of X months. Thereafter, Owner can terminate this Agreement at any time with X days prior written notice. Owner will make any last payment prior to retrieving said Animal. Bailee agrees to return the Animal in good condition. In the event the Animal is not received in good condition (state the penalty). In the event all conditions are complied with between the parties, Bailee agrees to return Owner's security immediately at the termination of this Agreement. 7. If Owner fails to pay for and/or retrieve the Animal after the expiration of the original X month term, Bailee can (specify, such as store the Animal and charge $X per month, deem the Animal to be abandoned, sell it, and reimburse Owner for the difference of the net receipt of sale less what was due Bailee, etc.). 8. This Agreement supersedes all prior agreements and understandings and may only be modified in writing and signed by both parties. This Agreement is in force when signed below. 9. This Agreement cannot be assigned without the prior consent of Owner. 10.
