Overall responsibility for an extensive commercial print operation, all manufacturing operations; including production, materials management, engineering and quality control, and being vertically integrated from pulp to finished product. (Millions of game tickets per week ! 2 main Sunderland sites and up to 500 staff during period). Responsible to the Board and for a purchasing spend of £500,000 p.a. Managed all the printing and finishing departments within the Division. Reduced waste from 20% to 5% Developed and tracked project plans and testing strategies. Implemented, developed quality systems, order planning process and training requirements for staff. Helped set and realise budget forecasts. Oversaw computerisation of system. Maximized quality and profitability for the company Developed and catered for a significant world-wide client base. Managed the installation and introduction of an automated production facility. (Rationalised and up-skilled HR whilst maintaining business. Introduced new technology, processes and operational practices. Significantly reduced manual handling, reduced costs and environmental impact.
