A student organization run BY students FOR students Responsible for providing a variety of services to students

Many serve as training grounds for aspiring leaders

- 很多作為培訓領袖的場地 -

Some focus on providing oncampus recreation and retail

facilities for students

Their structure, purpose and responsibilities are usually established in a constitution ratified by the student body

What does it do?

學生會有甚麼工作？

- Representing the interests and concerns of the student body

- 反映學生所關心的事務及利益 - Managing fiscal matters for

student activities

- 管理學生活動的財務事項 - Responsible for whole school programs

- 負責舉辦全校性的活動 - Chartering and regulating student organizations

- 管理規範其他學生組織 Relationship to the school

- Student unions of secondary school are considered auxiliaries of the School

- 中學的學生會被視為其學校的 附屬組織 - Often overseen by advisors, who

are usually teachers

- 一般受老師顧問監管 -

Usually channels feedbacks and opinions from students to the school

The financial support comes from the students’ house and club subscription fees. Another part comes from the subsidy from the school.

社協的使命： - Promotes house spirit and cultivate sense of belonging of students

- 提倡星社精神並培養學生的歸

屬感 - Provide students in school with ECA to enhance school life

- 為學生提供課外活動 Current Role of House Organization:

社協現行的角色：

- Coordinates whole-school functions (OSC, Fun Fair)

- 協調全校性活動 - Responsible for Swimming Gala and Sports Day

- 負責水運會及陸運會 - Organizes inter-house ball games

- 組織星社間之球類比賽 - Provides channel for cross-form or cross-house friendship

- 提倡各年級及星社間的友誼
