We also delivered 92 projects of all sizes, surpassing our previous 12-month record by nearly 20%. The variety of work we’ve done is, we think, pretty impressive, and includes our most complicated single piece to date — a mega-multifunction boardroom table (center right). We have also completed a massive assembly of 30 conference tables (see our lead story) which features an unusually complex palette of materials and finishes. Most of our projects are not quite as intimidating as those above but the same thoughtful approach and attention to detail applies to them as well. Our popular lightweight Arbor tables (we built several hundred during the past 12 months) are an example at the opposite end of the design spectrum. Working with the client’s Feng Shui consultant, Michael Oei Architects of Philadelphia designed this harmonious conference table and several complementary case pieces. H2L2 employed a unifying veneer scheme for the custom furniture and millwork in this Wilmington, DE project. WallGoldfinger supplied the imposing boardroom table and two reception desks, one square the other circular (shown above). The elegant veneer treatment and the lined reveals were a particular challenge on the curved walls of the circular desk. Makore and mahogany veneer were used, with ebonized accent inlays contributing to the geometric layout.

Innovation is not in short supply at WallGoldfinger. This Gensler DC project called for eleven mobile, storable six foot square stone topped tables. WG responded with a scheme featuring pivoting lightweight stone tops mounted on bases fitted with casters and levelers. We also engineered a hinge and latch mechanism which allows these large tables to be wheeled safely, with complete stability, from room to room. Each table is fully “wired” and can be used independently or “daisy chained” to its neighbor in a conference set up.
