Campaign budget

The budget is revised. Some members concerned about expenses on the “Website” item. Alan Lung explained that HKD50,000 is for technical support only. 2. Fund Raising

The members were informed that some donations have been received. Alan Leong will write a letter to some prominent individuals to appeal more funds. George Cautherley will give names later. The press conference of CE candidate announcement will be held on 6th Nov 2006 (Monday) at 12:00pm. The newly recruited international press officer and administer (i.e. Wong Ming Lok) will fix the venue for the pc. And the officer needs to inform supporting groups and concerning individuals to go to the pc to show their support. 12:00pm of 11th Nov (Saturday) is the kick off date for community-level fund raising activities. Peggy Ha is the responsible person. She will give a drafted plan to the working group next meeting. 3. Campaign Office

Margaret will have a second visit to the desired office shortly. This office is situated at Wellington Street near Central Market. The rental level is more than HKD10,000 per month. Area is about 600 square feet. Necessary facilities are ready. It is expected that the new office will be opened in November and the rental period will be 6 months. George will be the responsible person to sign the rental contract. 4 & 5. Briefing of the APCO team and Campaign Strategy

APCO team

APCO gave a presentation to the working group. During the discussion, all agreed to invite Donald Tsang to join the election debate. The decisions on campaign messages and theme colour are still pending as further discussions are needed. About the presentation, please see the attachment which made by the APCO team. The website of the campaign will be launched in two weeks time. The team will work on it. 6. Recruitments George Wong Ming Lok has accepted the offer of post of International Press Officer and Administrator. The salary is around HKD30,000 per month. All agreed to employ her and George is the legal person to employ Wong Ming Lok. She will take up the post on 18 October 2006 and she will work in the CP office temporarily. Concerning about the Local Press Officer, Chan Wai Yee has accepted the offer and she will take up the post on part-time basis in mid-November. Some members regarded that a full time job is more suitable. Margaret will talk to Chan Wai Yee soon to find out whether she wants a full time job. 7. AOB Margaret Ng recommended that Peggy Ha should be a

regular member of the working group and the group meeting is also opened for Alan Leong to join. All agreed with these arrangements.
