SPELLING 1. Spelling. Learn your spelling for our spelling test on Friday. 2. Each night choose 2 or 3 of your spelling words and write an interesting sentence for each word. 2. BASIC FACTS and TIMES TABLES Learn 2 basic facts and x tables you got wrong every night so your score improves.

4. NEWS HOUNDS!

Choose a recent piece of News that interests you from the Newspaper or on the TV News. Talk to an adult about it so you understand as much as you can about it, make some notes in your book and come prepared to tell the class about it at News time.

Citizenship is everyone’s business

HOMEWORK TASK Kahikatea needs to elect 2 ambassadors for the student council. If you would like to be considered for this role explain why you think you would be a good person to be one of the 2 Kahikatea Ambassadors to the student council. You will have to present these thoughts to our Syndicate at Syndicate Assembly on June 15. Responsibilities of Kahikatea Ambassadors to NCS Student Council. • Represent views of Kahikatea Students on Student Council • Relay information back from Student Council to Kahikatea students Skills needed by Ambassadors: • Regular attendance at meetings scheduled. • Clearly putting views of Kahikatea students to council (even if views aren’t shared personally by Ambassadors). • Understanding decisions of Council and reporting these back clearly to Kahikatea classes.
