VSG Event Co-Sponsorship Guidelines 1. VSG maintains a co-sponsorship budget of approximately $30,000 each year for supporting organization events on campus. 2. Applications for event co-sponsorship must be forwarded to VSG Vice President a minimum of two weeks prior to an organization’s proposed program date (this provision can be waived by unanimous consent of the Executive Board). The Vice President brings applications before the Executive Board for consideration during weekly meetings. 3. VSG co-sponsors events, not funding for general organizational budgets. Proposed events should benefit student life in order to receive financial cosponsorship from VSG. 5. Confirmation emails are sent to organization representatives once applications are received. The VSG Executive Board submits questions via email about each proposal (if necessary) before rendering a decision. Also, VSG may suggest alternative sources of financial support for event management. 6. Co-sponsorship awards are capped at $1000, a level of sponsorship generally reserved for events with an attendance of 600 students or greater. 7. Organizations with diversified sources of funding (student fees allocations, multiple requests for co-sponsorship, fundraising, etc.) generally receive higher awards than groups relying solely on VSG funds for carrying out their events.
