Rational number – a number that can be written as a fraction (or the quotient a/b of two integers a and b where b ≠ 0). 2. Integer – A positive or negative whole number or zero (from -∞ to ∞) 3. Whole number – A number that does not contain a fraction (from 0 to ∞). 4. Natural number – Whole, counting numbers that start from 1 (from 1 to ∞). 5. Percent – A ratio whose denominator is 100.
