Good afternoon everyone,
Thank you for giving me this opportunity to share with you my thoughts about the last almost 1 year experience of taking this IMPH course at the institute of preventive medicine an public health at HMU. Good points: - International students were given good support from HMU staff and Vietnamese students since the first days - Different social activities provided to connect the students and staff: Welcoming ceremony, Christmas party, visits to the local beauties,... - The training program: All courses are provided with clear description with objectives, contents and assessment from the beginning. - The lecturers: from different universities (Tufts, Minnesota, Sydney, and HMU) => different valuable experiences and updated knowledge and make us feel the real international atmosphere during the lecturing process => For the first class of a new program that involves international students, what have been offered to us is very impressive. What could be improved: - A short vietnam’s cultural and language class (2-3 weeks) - A database for free access online - Textbooks available in libraries - Better internet connection in classrooms Those are only my general opinions, and my colleagues will give more about their feeling, impression and everything that may could improve next batch of this course.
Overall speaking, I have had a very busy but fruitful and exciting year at HMU in particular and in Vietnam in general. I will share this experience with my students and colleagues when I come back to Indonesia and recommend them to take this course.
