“Around the World by Motorcycle : for Peace & Human Rights : 10th December 2010 to 10th December 2015 - Making Human Rights a Global Reality ” What and why? The Universal Declaration of Human Rights came into existence in 1948. Most of United Nation Countries in the world became signatories of this declaration, but still only 5 % of people in the world are aware of the Human Rights Declaration and Its importance. Personally I believe that no development can be possible without understanding Human Rights. Human Rights are the center of development and without giving people their rights, a country cannot grow or develop to the benefit of all. Around the World is a mission to promote Human Rights across globe traveling by Motorcycle. This journey will promote Universal Declaration of Human Rights through Human Rights materials developed by Youth for Human Rights International and organizing interactive sessions with Youth groups in Schools, Colleges and Universities. During the mission, traveler will also meet diplomats and present memorandums signed by thousands of youth from their own country demanding the publication of “Universal Declaration of Human Rights” on all public documents, starting with passports. Although there will be many hurdles during this journey, It is big challenge for a just important cause. Many people might question the decision to go on this mission, but this example offers a model for anyone to appreciate and perhaps create one’s own relevant mission, even if not on such a grand scale. How will the mission be organized ? The plan is to travel by motorbike starting from Delhi, India, Asia - Europe - Middle East & North Africa - Africa South America - Central America & Caribbean - North America - Polar Regions - Oceania – Asia. In every country, we will contact and collaborate with Human Rights organisations, Universities, Colleges and Youth groups through Student World assemblies, A Better Community for All, UCP SARnet and OXFAM International Youth Partnership other youth groups. At each country’s border, a welcoming group of students / youth will be present with at least 10 bike riders who will escort the traveller to the closest city. Once in the city, the rider will take rest and organise meetings with city co-ordinators and will finalize all pre planned programmes and activities. Press releases for journey plan will be sent. If possible, press conferences will be organised to discuss the issue of Human Rights. Every evening session presentation can be held with Rotary Clubs, Leo Clubs and Rotary Lions Networks. At each Country a total of 15 Days will be spent ( Entry to Exist Point ). Where needed, for every country 2 days will be reserved for emergencies and 1 day out of 15 days, to meet leaders of the country. The second day will start from morning and visit schools, colleges, universities as pre decided by Country / City Coordinator. On the route I will halt wherever possible and discuss with people and collect opinions of people about Human Rights, which will help me understand more about the situation in each country. Will distribute information sheets and get sign on banners.

Using the country maps and information through volunteers and supporters, the programme capital of each country will be a target city. See off at exist point by local organization and coordinator.
