For more information or to RSVP contact Vanessa Mena: Next Step Retreat - Fri-Sat, April 24-25 Next Step Retreat is a discernment retreat for college students. It is a 24-hr retreat that will explore how to discern God’s call and presence in your decision- making. This is the place to bring the questions: Is this the right major? The right relationship? Congrats & Welcome New Catholics! Sixteen members of our RCIA process were fully initiated into the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil celebration last week. Celebrating their Baptism, Confirmation and First Eucharist were Jonny "Landrecius" Ahn, Jessica "Genesius" Kaizer, Julia Kuo, Lillian O'Connor, Ducela "Dymphna" Phan, "Paul" Scott Vanderpool, and Annahita Varahrami. Celebrating their reception into the Catholic Church through the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist were Natalie Carnine, Kris Carter, Victor Chatman, Erin Eastwood, Danielle Handsaker, Bryan Hanus, Bobby Jenkins, John Kim, and Rachel Vallejo. We are very happy for all of them and continue to pray for them in their new relationship with Christ! Carbos for Christ All are invited for food and fellowship at 12:30 pm on Wednesdays in the Atrium. $2.00 suggested donation. Come break bread with us at Mass then again at lunch! Save the Date! Theology on Tap on May 6th Join us on May 6th at 6:30 pm at Mother Egan’s Pub on West 6th Street for the next installment of Theology on Tap. Guest speaker this month will be Fr. Mike Sis on Jesus the Leader. New Parking for 8:00 pm! St. Austin’s is now allowing us to use their new garage at San Antonio and MLK for 8:00 p.m. Mass only! For all other Masses, the only lot for the University Catholic Center is the lot to our west between our building and Dobie Mall.

Gay and Lesbian Support Group With the encouragement and support of Bishop Aymond, the UCC has formed a support group for Catholic students who identify themselves as gay or lesbian. The purpose of this group is to provide a safe and confidential place for these individuals to meet for discussion, prayer and fellowship. Free Workshop—Tactics for Tough Times Catholic Charities of Central Texas are sponsoring free workshops on Tactics for Tough Times. These free workshops will increase your financial knowledge and skills in money management, how to conduct a job search and retool a resume, how to handle the stress during this time of crisis and a workshop on preventing foreclosure.
