Umno The Public Enemy

UMNO these days is seen to be hellbent on making itself the public enemy number one in the eyes of the people of Mlaysia. First, a few UMNO politicians tried to raise all sorts of racial and religious ill feelings among the various communities, briefly prompting old feelings of buried animosity to re-surface. Perhaps it was a kneejerk reaction to the pain of losing so unexpectedly in the March elections but it is clear that UMNO politicians have failed to become any wiser despite experiencing adversity. Right now, UMNO is preparing for the party elections that are to be held early next year, and as a consequence, again, we have UMNO politicians already busy with their mouths, raising undesirable issues that do not in any way benefit the people of the country. A case in point is the street names issue in Penang. Why is UMNO trying to kick up a fuss, as if the people of Penang are involved in a secret conspiracy to change the status of the national language. They are trying to portray the people of Penang as anti-Malaysian, even though they know that it is not true at all. The people of Penang are smart enough to know the truth and they correctly disregarded the heavy UMNO and BN propaganda during the last elections. But it seems that UMNO is not so smart and the dead horse, so to speak. No single man the national language at any time at all , that UMNO is raising this issue now and is it.

Does UMNO want to see the people of Penang and the rest of the population in the country at loggerheads with one another ? This devious attempt will never succeed. The public is smart enough to ignore the vile propaganda spewing forth from the vicious UMNO mouths and get on with their everyday chores. Yet UMNO prefers to take a gamble and try to make itself the enemy of the Malaysian public. Another already fear by achieve

issue is the NEP or its impending liberalisation. The DPM has spoken on it, but some UMNO politicians are trying to whip up using the excuse that UMNO-putras and their henchmen can never the desired NEP objectives.

These UMNO-putras and their henchmen will not want to achieve any objective at all, since doing so will directly eliminate longstanding corruption in the nation and at the same time, erase or dilute their cherished political powerand influence. Therefore, the UMNO politicians will try to kick up a fuss and demonise those that they feel are standing in their way. They want the unhealthy facets of the NEP to be maintained as they feel they need an indefinite forever to "achieve" objectives of the NEP. At the same time, these UMNO politicians are totally unconcerned at all about the rising spate of serious theft and robberies and the spiralling cases of dead bodies appearing here and there, in rivers, estates, huts, plantations, abandoned buildings, burnt vehicles and by the roadside.

The public can only fume in silence at this UMNO monster. UMNO is now public enemy numero uno in Malaysia.
