TRELLIDOR COLLECTS TINS FOR GOGOS Security barrier manufacturers Trellidor, committed supporters of the Robin Hood Foundation, recently participated in the Foundation‟s „Bin a Tin‟ campaign, collecting 1 888 tins of food for households struggling against the effects of AIDS and poverty. “The project was motivated and driven by our staff and it was tremendous to see how everyone pulled together to make it a success. I‟m very proud to work amongst such a generous group of people,” said Trellidor managing director, Andrew Thomas. The tins were collected over a period of two months and departments within Trellidor challenged each other to better their totals. “Our advertising campaign encourages customers to „put us to the test‟ but this time it was the staff that tested themselves and came out with top marks,” said Thomas. All tins collected will go towards making up the „Gogo Bags‟ distributed by the Robin Hood Foundation on a regular basis to grandmothers burdened with the responsibility of caring for their orphaned grandchildren or deceased neighbours‟ children. The Foundation distributes these bags to households identified by social workers in poor communities in Inchanga, Lower Molweni, Chesterville, Shongweni and Hammarsdale.
