SSCS Faculty and Staff have been given an excellent opportunity to attend a Leadership Seminar this coming Friday, September 12th. This is an extraordinary time for them to hear Dr. Matt Williams, a specialist in leadership conferences. Because of this inservice, there will be NO SCHOOL for the children on the 12th.

Homecoming 2008 October 4th is the annual Patriot Homecoming game and barbecue right here at Silver State Christian School. All students, families, alumni, and friends are invited to join in the festivities and support the varsity football team in their game against North Park. Mark your calendar for an afternoon of fun, great competition, and good food. It all begins right here at 1:00 p.m. See you there!

These books are full of coupons with incredible savings at your favorite stores and restaurants as well as entertainment and travel. Order forms for the books went home last week with your child. Veteran’s Day Celebration

We are beginning now to plan for our Veteran’s Day celebration coming up on November 11th. If there is a special Veteran that you would like for us to invite to our activities, it would be an honor for us to contact them. Just leave the contact information in the school office.

NEW PARKING GUIDELINES In the past, parents of secondary students were able to park alongside the road next to the playground. This year, however, we must ask that you pull off onto the asphalt at the north side of the building. Your cooperation in this matter will greatly alleviate congestion on our roadway and encourage safety for all concerned.

COLORADO’S CHRISTIAN COLLEGE TOUR November 99-15 is the Northern Colleges Tour for any interested 9th9th-12th grade students. This tour includes Maranatha Baptist Bible College, Faith Baptist Bible College, and Northland Baptist Bible College. Parents, please consider your child’s need for a complete Christian education. This college trip could be an opportunity to insure a greater spiritual influence in their biblical walk with the Lord. Start now to see what the Lord would have you do in sending your student on this very important and potentially lifelife-changing tour.

ELEMENTARY BIBLE READING - “Hiding God’s Word in our heart.” Each week our elementary students follow a Bible reading schedule that helps them learn God’s Word. Please take time on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday to follow the reading schedule and talk about the Bible verses. With the additional reading at each
