Theological Notes I have tons of information that I haven’t even revealed to the Internet yet. I wrote them down in notebooks in the privacy of my own home many years ago and recently. Some of these works were created by in 2002 and 2003. This is some of my religious works that are secret to you and now are revealed to the public for the first time. I have even more works that are non-religious and religious that I have yet to show. Hopefully, they will be shown in months and years ahead in my life. I could of thrown away all of these notes. Yet, I know by the Providence of God, he wouldn’t allow me to do so. This is interesting subject matter. The Early Church was a complete Church even before 100 A.D. 1). The first church had preachers in Mark 3:14. 2). The first church had a commission in Mark 3:15 and Luke 10:1 3). The first church had offices as found in John 13:29. 4). The first churches had the 2 ordinances of baptism and communion (which are purely
symbolic things being done to people who are already saved). John 4:1 and Matthew 26:6 describes baptism and communion in great detail. 5). The first church had the Holy Spirit as found in John 20:21. 6). The first church had omissions in John 4:34, Matthew 8:13, and Mark 7:26. Through the scriptures didn’t until the 45-96 A.D. period. Before that the church used the OT. *In Acts 2:1-3, the Holy Spirit came upon the aposltes and other people. That occurred before Paul’s conversion to Jesus Christ leading Paul to preach unto the Gentiles. The principle events of the NT (birth of Jesus Christ, church formation, the ordiances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper, salvation by Christ, Pentecost, Holy Spirit being received, resurrection of Jesus Christ, etc.) already existed before Paul being called to preach and become an apostle. *Also, Christians are first mentioned as a word in Acts 11:26 in Antioch. Paul was in Antioch, but there is no proof he created the name nor did he incorporated his views into the Orthodox views of the church. Paul was an ex-Pharisee who followed the Torah. That is why tons of Paul’s great writings are mirror images of parts of the OT. The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed. The New Testament is the Old Testament fully revealed. Paul is very important and righteous, but the Christian Church was function before Paul was saved. The church already existed by 30 A.D. In 33 A.D., it spread even more in the world. The Greek word for church is “ekklesia.”
Mormonism’s false Prophecies It doesn’t take a genius to see that Joseph Smith and others in the Mormonism created false prophecies. In the Bible, signs of a false prophet are easy. They include: if someone leads people astray by signs and wonders (Deut. 13:1-4), their prophecies don’t come to pass (as found in Deut. 18:20-22), They contradict God’s word (Isaiah 8:20), they bear bad fruit (Matthew 7:18-20), the world or men speak well of them (Luke 6:26), and they deny that Jesus Christ is the one and only Christ (he came into the flesh to save people once and for all as found in 1 John 4:31. The false prophets deny Jesus Christ’s sufficiency in all manners of life and godliness as found in 2 Peter 1:3). So, enjoy this list and peacefully wake up a Mormon:
1). In the course of 18 years, Joseph Smith made about 64 specific prophecies. Only 6 of them were fulfilled (that’s fewer than 10%). Many of his proclamations dealt with the future of his church. 2). In September 1832, he state that the city of Independence would become “New Jerusalem” even the place the Temple shall be reared in this generation. 6 years later, the Mormons were driven out of Independence and no Temple was built there. Eventually, they were moved from Missouri to Utah. This was an example of a false prophecy. 3). In 1833, Smith prophesized that the U.S.A. would suffered unparalleled multiple disasters (like pestilence, hail, famine and earthquakes) sweeping non-Mormons off their land. This will allow Mormons to have a haven in Mussouri. This didn’t occur at all. 4). Smith said that in 1835 that Christ would return within 56 years and many would be living when Christ comes. Nothing of the sort happened. 5). Brigham Young, who is Joseph Smith’s successor, predicted that the Civil War would not free the slaves, but the states were freed of slaves. This makes Brigham Young as another false prophet.
Jesus Christ called God in the Holy Scriptures
God the Father certainly has a Son as found in Psalms 2:6-12:
“…Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him…”
-Isaiah 9:6 says that the Messiah (or Jesus) is called “Mighty God” as a title. Mighty God referes to God alone. -In Revelation 19:12-16, Jesus Christ is called: 1). The Word of God, 2). The ruler of nations, 3). The carrier of wrath of God himself. Jesus in the Bible is called God, and 4). King of Kings and Lord of Lords. “Kurios” is a Greek world in the context refering only to God, because of the major characteristics of God in the verses. -John 20:28 has the Apostle Thomas calling Jesus Christ My God and My Lord. It can’t be just an exclamation, because since he rose from the dead at that time. Thomas didn’t just say My God, but My God. In other words, Thomas is calling Jesus Christ God and Lord. -Revelation 22:12 have Jesus saying that he is Alpha and Omega. Only, God can be the Beginning of all existence in the Universe. Isaiah 44:6 gives the title of the First and the Last to God alone. -There are many other things that humans did toward Jesus Christ that proves that his disciples viewed him as God. For example, Jesus Christ was worshipped (Matthew 2:2 and 11, 14:33, 28:9). Jesus was prayed to as found in Acts 7:59 and 1 Cor. 1:1-2. Jesus Christ was called God in John 20:28 and Hebrews 1:8. Mark 1:1 classifies Jesus as the Son of God. The Bible calls Jesus Christ as sinless as found in 1 Peter 2:22 and Hebrews 4:15. John 21:27 says that Jesus Christ knew all things, Jesus gives eternal life (John 20:28), and the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus (as found in Colossians 2:9).
The Historical Jesus Christ: -H.G. Wells, who was an atheist, recognized Jesus’ existence. Will Durant called Jesus a historical person. H was the ex-Professor of Philosophy of History at Columbia University. The Encyclopedia Britannica used over 20,000 words to describe Jesus. This is more than Artistole, Cicero, Alexandr, Julius Caesar, Buddha, Confucius, Muhammad, or Napoleon. Thallus (who is a Sarmartian historian from ca. 52 A.D.) mentioned that darkness occurred around the time of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion. The Gospels were key eyewitnesses of Jesus and wrote about them. Their books were created from ca. 45 A.D. to 96 A.D.)
-Secular authors like Cornelius, Pliny the Younger, Seutonius, and other have mentioned about Jesus Chirst or the Christians in the 2nd century A.D. Pliny was the Governor of Bithynia in the Asia Minor in the 2nd century A.D. Seutonius was the court official and an annalist under Hadrian from ca. 120 A.D.). Flavius Josephus talked about Jesus in his book called the Antiquities of the Jews. Lucian opposed Christ, but acknowledged that Jesus Christ was crucified. Celsus opposed Christians, but he admitted that Mary was poor, her husband was a carpenter, Jesus Christ did miraculous signs, and Jesus Christ claimed to be God himself. Even the Talmud described about Jesus Christ, though I don’t agree with the Talmud. The Talmud says that: “…"On the eve of the
Passover Yeshu was hanged. For forty days before the execution took place, a herald went forth and cried, "He is going forth to be stoned because he has practiced sorcery and enticed Israel to apostasy. Any one who can say anything in his favor, let him come forward and plead on his behalf." But since nothing was brought forward in his favor he was hanged on the eve of the Passover!" (This quotation was taken from the reading in The Babylonian Talmud, transl. by I. Epstein (London: Soncino, 1935), vol. III, Sanhedrin 43a, p. 281 as cited in Habermas, Gary R., The Historical Jesus: Ancient Evidence for the Life of Christ, (Joplin, MO: College Press Publishing Company) 1996). Tacitus (A.D. c.55-A.D. c.117, Roman historian) mentions "Christus" who is Jesus from the Annals 15.44 showing that: "Consequently, to get rid of the report, Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judea, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome, where all things hideous and shameful from every part of the world find their centre and become popular." Ref. from http://classics.mit.edu/Tacitus/annals.mb.txt Pliny wrote that: "They (the Christians) were in the habit of meeting on a certain fixed day before it was light, when they sang in alternate verses a hymn to Christ, as to a god, and bound themselves by a solemn oath, not to any wicked deeds, but never to commit any fraud, theft or adultery, never to falsify their word, nor deny a trust when they should be called upon to deliver it up; after which it was their custom to separate, and then reassemble to partake of food but food of an ordinary and innocent kind." Pliny, Letters, transl. by William Melmoth, rev. by W.M.L. Hutchinson (Cambridge: Harvard Univ. Press, 1935), vol. II, X:96 as cited in Habermas, Gary R., The Historical Jesus: Ancient Evidence for the Life of Christ, (Joplin, MO: College Press Publishing Company) 1996.
Justin Martyr, wrote these words around 150 A.D.: "The Lord Jesus Christ our instructor, who was the first born of God the Father, was not born through sexual relations . . . God's power came upon the virgin, lighting upon her while she was still a virgin, causing her to conceive . . . By the will of God, his Son, Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary." So, Jesus Christ was a historical figure as validated by Biblical and secular sources of information.
Soul Sleep (a Key Doctrine of 7th Day Adventism) Refuted
What is soul sleep? Soul sleep deal with the false doctrine that teaches that man is only a soul and spirit. Also, it believes that when a human being dies, our souls "fall asleep" and
become totally unconscious. Our souls remains in that position until the time of the resurrection. One smoking gun refuting soul deal is that chapter of Luke 16. In that Chapter, there is the rich man and the beggar being dead physically. Both are buried and see each other in the spirit world. It’s not a parable since Jesus Christ would describe a story as a parable or a story in the NT would be preced by “…he spake
this parable with them” (or something of that effect). Now, the rich man was in Hell, while the poor man was in Heaven. The rich man was so hot that he asked Abraham to send a drop of water to Hell for him to drink. Abraham refused since it’s too late for the rich man to achieve salvation since he’s in Hell for now. Notice that the rich man and Abraham communicated with each other. If soul sleep was really real, both men wouldn’t of communicated toward each other in the first place. 2 Cor. 5:8 says that to be absent from this body is to be present with Lord (In other words, there is no soul sleep mentioned in this verse at all). Luke 16:22 shows that Lazarus was "carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom." This proves that soul sleep is non-existent in this verse. The reason is that there is an action performed and both men aren’t losing their consciousnesses at all. In John 14:2 Jesus plainly stated, “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.” This means that those who are in Heaven will have mansions. You can live in mansions in Heaven while you are in a soul sleep condition at all. Matthew 22:32 states, “I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not the God of the dead, but of the living.” God is not the God of the DEAD; but of the LIVING. In the verses of Revelation 6:9-11, and Rev. 20:4 talks about people sitting on a throne, praying, seeing, talking ,thirsting, feeling pain, and be tormented. These events are happening toward them while their souls are existing (and their bodies are buried in the ground). This is before the resurrection. Not only do 7th Day Adventists accept soul sleep, but also the Jehovah Witnesses.
Who was Erasmus? Erasmus was a famous theologian whose life is filled with controversy. He discredited the Latin Vulgate in his editions. Erasmus never formally left the Catholic Church, but he died in the presence of his Protestant friends. His views were outside of the Roman Catholic Church. In 1505, Erasmus edited the Valla’s Annotations on the NT, which was a pioneer work for Biblical criticism. Erasmus has therefore biblical and historical knowledge to create his Bible. In 1505, he created his Latin translation of the NT in Oxford, England. Some of Erasmus’ manuscripts were never accepted by Rome at that time, but Martin Luther referred to Erasmus’ 2nd edition as “my wife.” In 1506, Erasmus, he improved his Greek language education while going into Rome, Florence, and Padua (under the best Greek teachers of the day). Erasmus was a bad Catholic by all comparison. That is why his Greek NT manuscript was placed on Rome’s Index of Forbidden Books (on the authority of the Council of Trent). This meant that it’s forbidden for Catholics to even read it without approval from their bishop upon pain of mortal sin. This fact is documented in William Durant’s “The Story of Civilization: Part IV, The Reformation from p. 285 (and in Philip Schaff’s “History of the Church: Volume VII-The German Reformation, pg. 415). A Catholic writer by the named of Hugh Pope (who was under an official Roman Catholic imprimatur and nihil obstat) said that Erasmus was a heretic from Rome. Erasmus regularly scoffed at images, relics, pilgrimages, and Good Friday observations. Pope suggested Erasmus had serious doubts about every article of the Catholic faith. These articles include: the mass, confession, the primacy of the Apostolic See, clerical celibacy, fasting (Although, it’s biblical to fast voluntarily), and abstinence. Another source says: “…Erasmus ridiculed the invocation of the saints, reverence of relics, pretended miracles, and prayers to the Virgin Mary…There was scarcely any superstition or abuse in the Roman Church that Erasmus did not denounce, but behind the superstition there was truth, and he denounced as heartily those who would ruthlessly do away with all the old ceremonies and rites and observances..” (John Hurst, History of the Christian Church, Vol. 2. New York: Eaton
and Mains, 1900, p. 107). The Pope offered Erasmus the title of cardinal, but he refused. He refused just like the martyr Savanorola did. Erasmus said that he wouldn’t compromise his conscience. The Roman Catholic Diego Lopez Zuniga wrote a 54 page essay about Erasmus entitled, “Erasmi Roterodami
blasphemiae et impietates” (or The Blasphemies and Impietates of Erasmus of Rotterdam) in 1522. He wasn’t a “good” Roman Catholic since Rome criticized him left and right. The Sarbonne (or the old University of Paris) condemned Erasmus’ writings in 37 articles in 1527. His books were burned in Psain and long after his death according to Schaff’s History of the Christian Church on pgs. 414 to 415. Philip Schaaf (who some accuse of being a closet Roman Catholic) said that Protestant owe Erasmus some gratitude, because he enabled Luther and Tyndale to create their Bible translations. Erasmus was in sympathy with the main points of the Lutheran criticism of the Catholic Church. Melancthon, who was Luther’s right hand man, was quoted as saying: “Erasmus nobiscum est” or Erasmus is with us (From Maynard, pg. 327). Erasmus had access to:
-Basel manuscripts -Greek manuscripts of the NT -tons of commentaries and translation at that true by the writings of Origen, Cyprian,
Ambrose, Basil, Chrysostom, Cyril, Jerome, and Augustine. -access to Codex Vaticanus, but rejected its headings that were at variance with the Byzantine text. He also had access to D, Codex Bezae, but also reject it and also Codex Vaticanus was rejected by AV translators. -The pedigree of Erasmus’ late minus late manuscripts thus date back to iniquity. Martin Luther, John Tyndale, The French versions of Lefevre and Olivetan (in 1534 and 1535), The KJV, the Swedish Uppsla Bible by Laurentis in 1541, etc. were all influenced by the Erasmus’ translations of the NT. Erasmus wasn’t a “good Catholic” because he was even respected by some Anabaptists, the Bohemian Bethren, and other Reformation-age Baptistic groups. Erasmus promoted the word of “Fundamental.” The Bohemian Bethren gave Erasmus a copy of their Apologia, or defense of their articles of faith in 1507. They requested that he read it through and give his comments. Erasmus said that he saw no error in their doctrines (as proven in the source of Maynard on pg. 328). One Erasmus’ “Treatise on Perparation for Death,” he mentions his belief of many people who follow Catholic doctrines are destined to Hell and coming to Jesus Christ (plus his wounds) will equal to salvation. I believe we can find Jesus Christ for salvation alone. Erasmus states additionally that “And what reason? For the sake of our merit? No, indeed, but through the grace of faith, which is in Jesus Christ…” Erasmus states again that: “…No indeed, but through grace of faith, which is in Christ Jesus…Christ is our justification…” No good Catholic would say that by faith through grace that humans are saved. Catholicism teaches that through the sacraments that we are saved by Jesus Christ, which is contrary to the Scriptures (especially when some of the sacraments aren’t even remotely mentioned or promoted in the Bible at all).
Follies of the Popes
-Pope Alexander VI (1492-1503) at 12 murdered his uncle. He had at least 10 known illegitimate children, which 4 of them were from Vannozza Catenei, his famous mistress. After she died, he married Giulia Farnese, who was a 15 year old girl. -Benedict husband.
VII (974-983) was caught in the act of adultery and was killed by an outraged
-Pope John XII (955-964) was accused by Holy Roman Emperor Otto I of many sick things in 963. Otto I accused him of raping female pilgrims in St. Peter’s, stealing church offerings, invoked pagan fase gods (like Jove and Venus), and invoking these false gods when playing dice. He still was the Pope until 964. In that time, he was beaten by the husband of a woman with which he was having an affair, dying three days later without receiving confession or the sacraments. -Pope Eugene IV
(1431 - 1447) condemned Joan of Arc to be burned alive as a witch, but Pope Benedict IV (1919) declared her a saint. -Pope Benedict IX (1033-1045) had sex with boys, women, and animals. He practiced witchcraft and Satanism. He gave orders for people to be murdered. He turned the Latheran Palace into “The best brothel in Rome.” -Pope Leo X sold indulgence and ordered the death of cardinals. -In 1816, Pope Pius VII condemned the Protestant Bible Societies in Poland. He claimed that distribution of the Scriptures was undermining “the very foundations of religion” and was “eminently dangerous to our souls.” Pope Gregory XVI (1831-1846) railed "against the publication, distribution, reading, and possession of books of the holy Scriptures translated into the vulgar tongue." Pope Leo XII, in January 1850, condemned the Bible Societies and admitted the fact that the distribution of Scripture has "long been condemned by the holy chair." Of course, I don’t agree with this at all, because legitimate Bible Societies are fine to teach the Word of God to others.
Popes Claiming to be God (which is blasphemy) 1). Pope Innocent
III (1198-1216) wrote: "We may according to the fullness of our power, dispose of the law and dispense above the law. Those whom the Pope of Rome doth separate, it is not a man that separates them but God. For the Pope holdeth place on earth, not simply of a man but of the true God." (1 Book of Gregory 9 Decret. c.3)
2). The Lateran
Council addressing Pope Julius II in an oration delivered by Marcellus said: "Take care that we lose not that salvation, that life and breath which thou hast given us, for thou art our shepherd, thou art our physician, thou art our governor, thou art our husbandman, thou art finally another God on earth." (Council Edition. Colm. Agrip. 1618)
3). Pope Nicholas
said of himself: "I am in all and above all, so that God Himself and I, the vicar of God, hath both one consistory, and I am able to do almost all that God can do…wherefore, if those things that I do be said not to be done of man, but of God, what do you make of me but God? Again, if prelates of the Church be called of Constantine for gods, I then being above all prelates, seem by this reason to be above all gods. Wherefore, no marvel, if it be in my power to dispense with all things, yea with the precepts of Christ." (Decret. par. Distinct 96 ch. 7 edit. Lugo 1661)
4). The title "Lord
God the Pope" - these words appeared in the Canon Law of Rome. "To believe that our Lord God the Pope has not the power to decree as he is decreed, is to be deemed heretical." (The Gloss extravagances of Pope John XXII Cum. Inter, tit XIV Ad Callem Sexti Decretalium, Paris, 1685)
5). Pope Nicholas
I declared that "the appellation of God had been confirmed by Constantine on the Pope, who being God, cannot be judged by man." (Labb IX Dist.: 96 Can 7 Satis Evidentur Decret Gratian Primer Para)
Early Church Quotations Ignatius supporting Prayer and Unlimited Atonement: “…Having
obtained good proof that thy mind is fixed in God as upon an immoveable rock, I loudly glorify [His name] that I have been thought worthy [to behold] thy blameless face, which may I ever enjoy in God! I entreat thee, by the grace with which thou art clothed, to press forward in thy course, and to exhort all that they may be saved. Maintain thy position with all care, both in the flesh and spirit. Have a regard to preserve unity, than which nothing is better. Bear with all, even as the Lord does with thee. Support all in love, as also thou doest. Give thyself to prayer without ceasing. Implore additional understanding to what thou already hast. Be watchful, possessing a sleepless spirit. Speak to every man separately, as God enables thee. Bear the infirmities of all, as being a perfect athlete [in the Christian life]: where the labour is great, the gain is all the more…” (The Epislte of Ignatius to Polycarp, Chapter 1) Ignatius on Salvation: “..Let no man deceive himself. Unless he believes that Christ Jesus has lived in the flesh, and shall confess His cross and passion, and the blood which He shed for the salvation of
the world, he shall not obtain eternal life, whether he be a king, or a priest, or a ruler, or a private person, a master or a servant, a man or a woman. "He that is able to receive it, let him receive it." Let no man's place, or dignity, or riches, puff him up; and let no man's low condition or poverty abase him. For the chief points are faith towards God, hope towards Christ, the enjoyment of those good things for which we look, and love towards God and our neighbour..” (Portion of the Longer Version) (The Epistle of Ignatius to the Symraens, Chapter 6) Polycarp on Sola Scriptura: “…"For whosoever does
not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, is antichrist;" and whosoever does not confess the testimony of the cross, is of the devil; and whosoever perverts the oracles of the Lord to his own lusts, and says that there is neither a resurrection nor a judgment, he is the first-born of Satan. Wherefore, forsaking the vanity of many, and their false doctrines, let us return to the word which has been handed down to us from the beginning; "watching unto prayer," and persevering in fasting; beseeching in our supplications the all-seeing God "not to lead us into temptation," as the Lord has said: "The spirit truly is willing, but the flesh is weak." (The Epistle of Polycarp, CHAPTER VII.--AVOID THE DOCETAE, AND PERSEVERE IN FASTING AND PRAYER). “…For I trust that ye are well versed in the Sacred Scriptures, and that nothing is hid from you; but to me this privilege is not yet granted. It is declared then in these Scriptures, "Be ye angry, and sin not," and, "Let not the sun go down upon your wrath." Happy is he who remembers this, which I believe to be the case with you. But may the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and Jesus Christ Himself, who is the Son of God, and our everlasting High Priest, build you up in faith and truth, and in all meekness, gentleness, patience, long-suffering, forbearance, and purity; and may He bestow on you a lot and portion among His saints, and on us with you, and on all that are under heaven, who shall believe in our Lord Jesus Christ, and in His Father, who "raised Him from the dead. Pray for all the saints. Pray also for kings, and potentates, and princes, and for those that persecute and hate you, and for the enemies of the cross, that your fruit may be manifest to all, and that ye may be perfect in Him…” (The Epistle of Polycarp, CHAPTER XII.-EXHORTATION TO VARIOUS GRACES)
Early Church Quotations Part 2 Igantius [The Mediator is Jesus Christ] Yet it is not I, but the Lord Jesus through me; for whose sake being bound, I fear the more, for I am not yet perfect. But your prayer to God shall make me perfect, that I may attain that to which I have been called, while I flee to the Gospel as to the flesh of Jesus Christ, and to the apostles as the presbytery of the Church. I do also love the prophets as
those who announced Christ, and as being partakers of the same Spirit with the apostles. For as the false prophets and the false apostles drew [to themselves] one and the same wicked, deceitful, and seducing spirit; so also did the prophets and the apostles receive from God, through Jesus Christ, one and the same Holy Spirit, who is good, and sovereign, and true, and the Author of [saving] knowledge. For there is one God of the Old and New Testament, "one Mediator between God and men," for the creation of both intelligent and sensitive beings, and in order to exercise a beneficial and suitable providence [over them]. There is also one Comforter, who displayed His power in Moses, and the prophets, and apostles. All the saints, therefore, were saved by Christ, hoping in Him, and waiting for Him; and they obtained through Him salvation, being holy ones, worthy of love and admiration, having testimony borne to them by Jesus Christ, in the Gospel of our common hope. (Letter to the Philadelphians, Chapter V, Longer Version) Clement of Rome [Judgment and Obedience] And in another place He speaks thus: "Wash you, and become clean; put away the wickedness of your souls from before mine eyes; cease from your evil ways, and learn to do well; seek out judgment, deliver the oppressed, judge the fatherless, and see that justice is done to the widow; and come, and let us reason together(The First Epistle of 8
)
Clement to the Corinthians, Chapter It is right and holy therefore, men and brethren, rather to obey God than to follow those who, through pride and sedition, have become the leaders of a detestable emulation. For we shall incur no slight injury, but rather great danger, if we rashly yield ourselves to the inclinations of men who aim at exciting strife and tumults, so as to draw us away from what is good (The First Epistle of Clement to the Corinthians, Chapter 14) Council of Niceas 6th Canon (325 A.D.) LET the ancient customs in Egypt, Libya and Pentapolis prevail, that the Bishop of Alexandria have jurisdiction in all these, since the like is customary for the Bishop of Rome also. Likewise in Antioch and the other provinces, let the Churches retain their privileges. And this is to be universally understood, that if any one be made bishop without the consent of the Metropolitan, the great Synod has declared that such a man ought not to be a bishop. If, however, two or three bishops shall from natural love of contradiction, oppose the common suffrage of the rest, it being reasonable and in accordance with the ecclesiastical law,
then let the choice of the majority prevail. The 7th Council of Carthage Speech by Cyprian (200s) It remains, that upon this same matter each of us should bring forward what we think, judging no man, nor rejecting any one from the right of communion, if he should think differently from us. For neither does any of us set himself up as a bishop of bishops, nor by tyrannical terror does any compel his colleague to the necessity of obedience; since every bishop, according to the allowance of his liberty and power, has his own proper right of judgment, and can no more be judged by another than he himself can judge another. But let us all wait for the judgment of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the only one that has the power both of preferring us in the government of His Church, and of judging us in our conduct there Apostolic Constitutions [ca. 4th century Priesthood of All Believers] For we stand in need of a woman, a deaconess, for many necessities; and first in the baptism of women, the deacon shall anoint only their forehead with the holy oil, and after him the deaconess shall anoint them: for there is no necessity that the women should be seen by the men; but only in the laying on of hands the bishop shall anoint her head, as the priests and kings were formerly anointed, not because those which are now baptized are ordained priests, but as being Christians, or anointed, from Christ the Anointed, "a royal priesthood, and an holy nation, the Church of God, the pillar and ground of the marriage-chamber," who formerly were not a people, but now are beloved and chosen, upon whom is called His new name as Isaiah the prophet witnesses, saying: "And they shall Call the people by His new name, which the Lord shall name for them." (Book 3, Sec. 2) Apostolic Constitutions [ca. 4th century Unlimited Atonement] We also, following our teacher Christ, "who is the Saviour of all men, especially of those that believe," are obliged to say that there are two ways-the one of life, the other of death; which have no comparison one with another, for they are very different, or rather entirely separate; and the way of life is that of nature, but that of death was afterwards introduced,-it not being according to the mind of God, but from the snares of the adversary. (The Apostolic Constitutions, Book VII, Sec. I) The 35th Apostolic Canon (dated from the 2nd to 5th century): The bishops of every country ought to know who is the chief among them and to esteem him as their head, and not to do any great thing without his consent; but everyone manage only the affairs that belong to his own parish, and the places subject to it. But let him not do anything without the consent of all; for it is by this means there will be unanimity, and
God will be glorified by Christ, in the Holy Spirit. Tertullian [Religious Liberty with no compulsion whatsoever] However, it is a fundamental human right, a privilege of nature, that every man should worship according to his own convictions: one man's religion neither harms nor helps another man. It is assuredly no part of religion to compel religion-to which free-will and not force should lead us-the sacrificial victims even being required of a willing mind. You will render no real service to your gods by compelling us to sacrifice. For they can have no desire of offerings from the unwilling, unless they are animated by a spirit of contention, which is a thing altogether undivine. Accordingly the true God bestows His blessings alike on wicked men and on His own elect; upon which account He has appointed an eternal judgment, when both thankful and unthankful will have to stand before His bar. Yet you have never detected us-sacrilegious wretches though you reckon us to be-in any theft, far less in any sacrilege. But the robbers of your temples, all of them swear by your gods, and worship them; they are not Christians, and yet it is they who are found guilty of sacrilegious deeds (To Scapula, Chapter II) Lactantius [Religious liberty] There is no occasion for violence and injury, for religion cannot be imposed by force; the matter must be carried on by words rather than by blows, that the will may be affected. Let them unsheath the weapon of their intellect; if their system is true, let it be asserted. We are prepared to hear, if they teach; while they are silent, we certainly pay no credit to them, as we do not yield to them even in their rage. Let them imitate us in setting forth the system of the whole matter: for we do not entice, as they say; but we teach, we prove, we show. And thus no one is detained by us against his will, for he is unserviceable to God who is destitute of faith and devotedness; and yet no one departs from us, since the truth itself detains him.
Let them teach in this manner, if they have any confidence in the truth; let them speak, let them give utterance; let them venture, I say, to discuss with us something of this nature; and then assuredly their error and folly will be ridiculed by the old women, whom they despise, and by our boys. For, since they are especially clever, they know from books the race of the gods, and their exploits, and commands, and deaths, and tombs; they may also know that the rites themselves, in which they have been initiated, had their origin either in human actions, or in casualties, or in deaths.
It is the part of incredible madness to imagine that they are gods, whom they cannot deny to have been mortal; or if they should be So shameless as to deny it, their own writings, and those of their own people, will refute them; in short, the very beginnings of the sacred
rites will convict them. They may know, therefore, even from this very thing, how great a difference there is between truth and falsehood; for they themselves with all their eloquence are unable to persuade, whereas the unskilled and the uneducated are able, because the matter itself and the truth speaks (Lactantius, Divine Institutes, Book 5) Council of Chalcedon (451 A.D.) Following in all things the decisions of the holy Fathers, and acknowledging the canon, which has been just read, of the One Hundred and Fifty Bishops beloved-of-God (who assembled in the imperial city of Constantinople, which is New Rome, in the time of the Emperor Theodosius of happy memory), we also do enact and decree the same things concerning the privileges of the most holy Church of Constantinople, which is New Rome. For the Fathers rightly granted privileges to the throne of old Rome, because it was the royal city.
And the One Hundred and Fifty most religious Bishops, actuated by the same consideration, gave equal privileges (isa presbeia) to the most holy throne of New Rome, justly judging that the city which is honoured with the Sovereignty and the Senate, and enjoys equal privileges with the old imperial Rome, should in ecclesiastical matters also be magnified as she is, and rank next after her; so that, in the Pontic, the Asian, and the Thracian dioceses, the metropolitans only and such bishops also of the Dioceses aforesaid as are among the barbarians, should be ordained by the aforesaid most holy throne of the most holy Church of Constantinople; every metropolitan of the aforesaid dioceses, together with the bishops of his province, ordaining his own provincial bishops, as has been declared by the divine canons; but that, as has been above said, the metropolitans of the aforesaid Dioceses should be ordained by the archbishop of Constantinople, after the proper elections have been held according to custom and have been reported to him. (Canon XXVIII) Origen [Worship on the Queen of Heaven] As we allege, however, that he has fallen into confusion in consequence of false notions which he has imbibed, come and let us point them out to the best of our ability, and show that although Celsus considers it to be a Jewish custom to bow down to the heaven and the angels in it, such a practice is not at all Jewish, but is in violation of Judaism, as it also is to do obeisance to sun, moon, and stars, as well as images.
You will find at least in the book of Jeremiah the words of God censuring by the mouth of the prophet the Jewish people for doing obeisance to such objects, and for sacrificing to the queen of heaven, and to all the host of heaven. The writings of the Christians, moreover, show, in censuring the sins committed among the Jews, that when God abandoned that people on account of certain sins, these sins (of idol-worship) also were
committed by them.
For it is related in the Acts of the Apostles regarding the Jews, that "God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to Me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which you made to worship them (Against Celsus, Book V, Chapter VIII) Basil of Caeserea [Unlimited Atonement] All ye shall be offended because of me."23 Simeon therefore prophesies about Mary herself, that when standing by the cross, and beholding what is being done, and hearing the voices, after the witness of Gabriel, after her secret knowledge of the divine conception, after the great exhibition of miracles, she shall feel about her soul a mighty tempest.24 The Lord was bound to taste of death for every man-to become a propitiation for the world and to justify all men by His own blood. Even thou thyself, who hast been taught from on high the things concerning the Lord, shalt be reached by some doubt. This is the sword. "That the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed." He indicates that after the offence at the Cross of Christ a certain swift healing shall come from the Lord to the disciples and to Mary herself, confirming their heart in faith in Him. In the same way we saw Peter, after he had been offended, holding more firmly to his faith in Christ. What was human in him was proved unsound, that the power of the Lord might be shewn. (Letter 260)
Martyrs of the Faith (and those who Disagreed with Romanism) -John Huss and Jerome of Prague exalted scripture above tradition, rejected indulgences, purgatory, and prayer to saints. They were burned to the stake by reason of heresy and their ashes were thrown in the Rhone River in 1415-1416. -Sir John Oldcastle exhorts men to follow the laws of God in Scripture, and was burned at the stake for being a Lollard in 1418. -Pope Martin V (1417-1431) ordered the murder of Hussites because they maintain that all Christians are brethen and they rejected the priests and the Papacy. -Thomas Granter died in 1478 for being a Lollard. Thomas Norris died in 1507 for being a Lollard as well. -James Resby from Scotland was burnt at Perth for holding unto Lollard beliefs. -William Tyndale translated the Bible into the English language back in 1534. There was antiProtestant fury against Tyndale and his allies. King Henry VIII of England from the Vatican in 1534, but he still maintained Catholic doctrines. He ordered the death of those who embraced the Protestant doctrine. Catholic authorities in England forbade Tyndale’s translation unto its members. Cardinal Woosley was directly involved in burning “heretical“ books. In February of 1526, he ordered the search of these books in London, Cambridge, and Oxford. Tyndale was betrayed by 2 people. One was Henry Phillips, who was his pretended friend. Another was Gabriel Donne, who was a Catholic monk posing as Phillips’ servant. Donne allowed the authorities to catch William Tyndale. At October 6, 1536, William Tyndale was burned at the stake as a heretic.
Yet, Tyndale wasn’t a heretic. He was a soldier of God, who succeeded in getting the Bible translated into English, so the common man who read it.
On Confession
Gods Word [The Bible] When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee. But there was certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? And immediately when Jesus perceived in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, he said unto them, Why reason ye these things in your hearts? Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk? But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. (Mark 2:5-11) And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it? Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evilAnd it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call. (Joel 2:11-13, 32) Ignatius [Prayer/ Unlimited Atonement] Having obtained good proof that thy mind is fixed in God as upon an immoveable rock, I loudly glorify [His name] that I have been thought worthy [to behold] thy blameless face, which may I ever enjoy in God! I entreat thee, by the grace with which thou art clothed, to press forward in thy course, and to exhort all that they may be saved. Maintain thy position with all care, both in the flesh and spirit (The Epistle of Ignatius to Polycarp, Chapter 1)
Clement of Rome [Confession] Chapter LII.-Such a Confession is Pleasing to God. The Lord, brethren, stands in need of nothing; and He desires nothing of any one, except that confession be made to Him. For, says the elect David, "I will confess unto the Lord ; and that will please Him more than a young bullock that hath horns and hoofs. Let the poor see it, and be glad." And again he saith, "Offer unto God the sacrifice of praise, and pay thy vows unto the Most High. And call upon Me in the day of thy trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me." For "the sacrifice of God is a broken spirit." (The First Epistle of Clement to the Corinthians, Chapter 52). John Chrysostom [Confession] We do not request you to go to confess your sins to any of your fellow-men, but only to God!" (Crhysostom, Homily on 50th Psalm) "We do not ask you to go and confess your iniquities to a sinful man for pardon but only to God." (Ibid.) "You need no witness of your confession. Secretly acknowledge your sins and let God alone hear you." (Chrysostom, De Paenitentia, Volume IV, Col. 901) "Therefore, I beseech you, always confess your sins to God! I, in no way, ask you to confess them to me. To God alone should you expose the wounds of your soul, and from him alone expect the cure. Go to Him, then, and you shall not be cast off, but healed. For, before you utter a single word, God knows your prayer." (Chrysostom, De Incomprehensibili, Volume I, Homily V)
The Archangel Michael isn’t the Messiah I devised of this information because of the Jehovah Witness, Hashev, and other groups of individuals who maintain the perception that Michael is the Messiah and that’s just false. This expose is short obviously and cuts to the chase. Enjoy: Why the Archangel Michael is not the Messiah: 1). Micah 5:2 is a prophecy describing the Messiah. Its the Messiah that will exist on Earth from Bethlehem Ephratah. Michael is an angel who is from heaven and has never came down to Earth as a man. It also says that he (Messiah) is the ruler in Israel and whose goings is from of old, from Israel and whom going is from of old, from everlasting. Michael isnt from everlasting since hes a created being. The Messiah (Jesus Christ) is from and to everlasting making Christ divine being God not a created being. John 1:1,4 confirms the deity and pre-existence of Christ. Psalm 90:2
say that only God is from everlasting to everlasting. 2). Micah 1:3-4 The Bible says the Lord cometh forth out of his place (heaven) and comes to Earth. How can Michael do this when he isnt God? This is a reference to the Messiah of his 2nd coming by the context because the temple is mentioned in Micah 1:1-2. Michael doesnt have the power or biblical authority to be the Messiah. 3). Revelation 22:8-9 says to worship God alone not an angel. Only God who is the Messiah fulfils the fundamental prophecies, which are over 300 describing him. (Jesus Christ). The angel Michael is therefore not to be worshipped or bowed to; therefore, Michael having extreme glory or being bowed to is breaking Gods commandments. 4). Isaiah 9:6-7 A child is born being called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, the everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace. None of these qualities define the archangel Michael. To call Michael by these names, which are Gods names, is blasphemous since Michael isnt everlasting, or the Mighty God. Michael means in Hebrew means godlike or who is like unto God not Mighty God or Almighty God. Mighty God in the Hebrew language mean Gibbowr Elohim and that has never been denoted to any other being in the OT and NT except Almighty God not the archangel Michael. No verse in the OT and NT defines it as such. The terms Mighty God declares the Messiah only since it says he sits on the throne of David, etc. Michael is an angel and has no lineage to David. The Messiah is the Lord Jesus Christ not an angel. 5). Angel in Hebrew means malakh meaning messenger. Their primary duties are to send messages, deliver, do miracles, and other actions not being a Savior, Messiah, or deliverer. Only God is the Savior (Isaiah 43:11, Jude 1:12, Titus 2:10), the only redeemer (Isaiah 63:16), the only Holy One (Psalm 71:22, Psalm 78:41, Psalm 89:18), and the only Judge (Psalm 94:1-2, Genesis 18:25). If God acquires solely these characteristics, why cant he be the Messiah when the Messiah is the deliver, Savior, and judge for all men outlined in the OT and NT. An angel cant deliverer people from sin, redeem, or save souls. Only God can make him the Messiah not Michael. 6). Ex. 20:1-7 The Bible forbids anyone worshipping anything other than God and thats also exhorted in the NT. To assume Archangel Michael is the anointed one or the Messiah is close to worship. Only glory is given unto God who is the Messiah (Christ). I will give no glory to an angel called Michael. -Mt. 4:10/Luke 4:8 Christ said worship God only. How can we assume an angel is the Messiah when the Bible in the OT has no identification of the Savior as an angel. Apologists say that the Talmud, Midrash, and even the Koran say that Michael is the Messiah, but those works are false, bias, anti-Jewish, and anti-Christians in some of its verses. Its biblical to assume that the Messiah is God since he has the power, influence, prophecy, and the only ability to bring about a lasting end-time peace worldwide. No one angel can do that alone or make an everlasting rule forever. \ 7). Jesus Christ throughout Revelation was called: 1). Alpha and Omega, the beginning and ending (Revelation 1:8) and also the Almighty 2). The son of man (Rev. 1:13) 3). The first and the last (Rev. 1:17) 4). Son of God (Rev. 2:18) 5). The faith and true witness (Rev. 3:14) 6). Creator (Rev. 4:11) 7). Lion of the tribe of Judah (Rev. 5:5). Also, the root of David. 8). Lamb (Rev. 5:6) 9). Christ (Rev. 12:10) 10). Faithful and True (Rev. 19:11) 11). The Word of God (Rev. 19:13) 12). King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Rev. 19:16) 13). The Bright and Morning Star (Rev. 22:16)
**13 titles are describing Christ, the Messiah. Anyone cant find within the Bible such enormous or grandiose declarations about the Archangel Michael. To assume so or call Michael the Messiah or Savior is just blasphemy. God is the only Redeemer, Savior, and Messiah, who is Jesus Christ and none other. **
Note the Jesuit imagery in the Calvinist Coat of Arms. There are many similarities between Romanism and Calvinism. Lord Willing, I will make this further known in my future work on Calvinism.
Limited Atonement Refuted “…For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause. For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again…” (2 Cor. 5:13-15) “..For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first,
and also to the Greek…” (Romans 1:16) Limited Atonement is a doctrine believing that Jesus Christ didn’t die for the sin of the whole word or for all mankind. This doctrine teaches that Jesus only died for the elect (or his Sheep). Calvinism has reached higher popularity in recent years. I’m not dismayed at these news, because God has refuted Limited Atonement for eons. Radical Hyper Calvinism (that follows the T.U.L.I.P.) is logically against soul-winning, revivalism, evangelism, etc. The reason is that the Hyper Calvinists love the philosophy of the presumption of salvation only for the elect (there is nothing to do about it even with soulwinning). They believe that you can only hope you are the elect to go to Heaven. I don’t believe in that. The whole idea of individual responsibility in soul-winning is annihilated in the T.U.L.I.P. view. That contradicts Jesus Christ’s command to get sinners saves worldwide. God’s salvation is given to people without our help, but it’s available to all human beings. Any human being has a chance to be saved accepting God’s offer of a new beginning. Here a group of verses (in a simple exegesis) that refutes Limited Atonement once and for all: -Christ died for all, for every man, every woman, and for the sins of the whole world (This is found in the following verses of: 1 Timothy 2:6, Isaiah 53:6, Hebrews 2:9, John 3:16, and 1 John 2:2). -Romans 5:6, 2 Peter 2:1, and Matthew 20:28 says that Jesus Christ died for the ungodly, for false teachers, and for many. -Jesus Christ died for Israel, for the Church, and for “me.” To say “all,” “world,” “everyman,” and the “whole world” doesn’t signify the entire human race of all history is silly, desperate, and disrespectful (in the eyes of the Scriptures and the eyes of Almighty God). This is shown in the verses of John 11:50-51, Ephesians 5:25, and Galatians 2:20. -1 Timothy 4:10 says that Jesus Christ died for all men. This doesn’t exclude non-savation, but Jesus Christ is the Saviour of all men. -1 Cor. 15:13 describes Paul saying to the unsaved people at Corinth that: “For as
in Adam all
die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive..” -Luke 19:10 outlines that: “..For the Son
of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost…” John 3:17 says that: “…For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved…” -Anyone that believes on the Son has eternal life: “…He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him…” (John 3:36). -Jesus Christ takes away of the whole world: “…The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world…” (John 1:29) -The Gospel is for all men: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned…” (Mark 16:15-16)
My Exegesis on the Lord's Supper 1). Hebrews 9:22 Sacrifice in a bloody manner not in an unbloody manner as utilized in mass. Christ’s body cant possess opposite properties at the same time. It cant be glorified in Heaven and at the same time be humbled on earth under the appearance of bread and wine. Christ is infinite and can do it if he wants to, but he cant go against his orderly nature or against the word of God in his behavior or actions (i.e. God cant lie, etc). 2). Luke 22:19 Do this in remembrance me is said by Christ (Communion is only a remembrance.) If Christ was actually present, then we cant remember him as He has bid us to do. You cant remember one who is actually physically there. You can remember one who is not physically there and who leaves token (simple objects of regular, non-divine bread and wine) that remind us of him. In fact the word communion means fellowship or memorial in Greek not Eucharist or the change of substances into the flesh and body of Christ. The stream of truth is all there. 3). Luke 23:40-43 The thief on the cross went to heaven without taking the Mass. 4). 1 Cor. 11:23-24 Do this in remembrance of me is said by Christ again to emphasis the symbolic meaning of communion. 5). John 20:30-31 You have no life in Christ without the Eucharist (or you’re not saved if you don’t take the Eucharist) is promoted if taken literally, but you have life by believing
on Christ and his blood utilized on the cross for the salvation of all mankind not by drinking Christ’s blood and eating Christ’s flesh neither bread and wine. 6). Hosea 8:6 If a priest tries to create out of mere bread the physical body plus soul and divinity of God, it isn’t God. Also, the mass claims the priests can create God from physical properties since they claim the wine and bread converts to the flesh and blood of Christ being God. This is extreme blasphemy. Wow. God cant be forced unto Earth by man or be created by man. God is unique, uncreated, and from everlasting to everlasting. 7). Hebrews 10:4 Jesus sacrifice was a one-time event with no repeats like the mass service. See also Heb. 9:28, 1 Peter 3:18. 8). Rev. 1:7 Christ will come down physically when every eye will see him. In mass, every human eye doesn’t witness him .See also Rev. 1:17,18. 9). Mat. 26:26-28 Jesus was present in communion. How can he be in that situation transubstantiated his flesh and blood in that area when he’s present. Cannibalism comes into play by Catholicism’s interpretation. Also what will happen if a mouse or another animal eats it. Can an animal eat God? The whole thing is revolting and ridiculous by using common sense and logic. 10). Hebrews 7:27 Not to be repeated daily involving his sacrifice and he died once for all. When a body is in parts, the parts cannot be individually separated to be equal to the whole. Not only is it declared the body of Christ is complete in each of the millions of wafers handled by the priests worldwide, but if each single wafer was broken into a 1,00 parts, each single part is declared to be a whole Christ. This cannot be said of a true human body. 11). 1 Cor. 14:9 The Bible forbids praying and teaching in an unknown tongue (i.e. Latin) Note: Until recently that Catholicism has changed this. 12). Romans 10:9/ Acts 16:30-31 Confession of faith not eating flesh and blood leads to eternal life. 13). Mark 16:19, Romans 8:33-34, Col. 3:1 Christ is presently at the right hand of God not coming physically downward to a church by a priests command worldwide in millions of churches. 14). Hebrews 10:12 Jesus made one sacrifice for sins and is at the right hand of God the Father. 15). John 19:30 Jesus said, It is finished making his all-sufficient, single sacrifice done and over forever. See also 1 Sam. 15:22 saying that Following the Lord is better than sacrifice (a man-made false sacrifice). Christ made his one, only sacrifice on the cross. It is finished. 16). Hebrews 9:11-15 Jesus Christ entered once for all. 17). John 13:18 Jesus referred to the communion elements as mere bread after being
blessed not transformed bread and wine into flesh and blood yet alone his flesh and blood since Jesus Christ was present and he didn’t cut himself or performed any flesh and blood miracle at that scene. 18). Acts 15:10/ Acts 21:25 Forbids eating blood used in religious services. See also Leviticus 3:17, 7:26-27, Acts 15:28-29, plus Gen. 9:3-4. 19). 1 Cor. 27-29 Unbelievers shouldn’t take communion; therefore taking communion isn’t required for salvation.
20). Psalm 16:10 Corruption wont happen to the Messiah, but that happens to the Host after the service. (Also contradicts Newton’s 2nd Law of Thermodynamics, Daltons Atomic Theory, etc making the Eucharist scientifically and religiously impossible). Also the early church in consensus didn’t agree with transubstantiation anyway. Examples include this: Now here’s great and thorough history on this subject. Enjoy. Polycarp in all of his literature didn’t mention a word on transubstantiation or the Eucharist being Christ on an object. One of the earliest works outside the Bible discussing NT rules was the Didache.
In chapter 9, it only calls communion Eucharistic thanksgiving and spiritual food and drink not a wafer which suddenly transforming into the bread and body of Christ. Justin Martyr in First Apology Chapter 66 and 67 plus his Dialogue with Typho Chapter 41 and 70 only calls communion a remembrance or thanksgiving simply. Tertullian throughout his Against Maricon Book called the Lords Supper a figure and the spirit profits not the flesh. According to the Protestant scholar William Webster, the strictly symbolic view of Zwingli, which is similar to that expressed by Eusebius" (p. 122). To the "symbolic view" list, Webster adds Theodoret, Serapion, Jerome, Athanasius, Ambrosiaster, Macarius of Egypt, and Eustathius of Antioch. Origen, Clement of Alexandria, Cyprian in his Epistle 62 , Augustine in his Reply to Fastus the Manichean at Book 20 plus Fastus 6:5 and his Fastus 20:18,20, John Chrysostom, Sedulius, Cladius Scotus, Rabanus Marus, Albert of Gaul in the 700s, John Erigena Scotus of the 800s, John Wycliffe, Ratrummus of the 800s, Berengarius of the 1000s, Paulicians of the 600s, Petrobussians, Waldensians, Anabaptists like Michael Sattler or Menno Simons of the 1500s, Bohemian Brethren and other people didn’t believe that bread and wine by a priests power could create Almighty God. They called it symbols, spiritual, or symbolic of Christ’s actions on the cross involving humans salvation. Many Reformers like John Knox, William Tyndale, John Laski, Ulrich Zwingli, Aonio Palerio, John Hooper, John Calvin, Theodore Beza, John Rogers, and others before and after the 1500s for 2,000 yrs of Christianity who didn’t mention a word on it, and they conceived of the Lords Supper just a commemoration of Jesus Christ finishing work on the cross. They all knew it was a memorial or symbolic of what he did on the cross. That alone refutes Catholicism’s whole game plan on the Eucharist. One early person Catholics have used to validate their view of the Eucharist is a quotation by Ignatius in the 2nd century describing the Eucharist. Now that quote refers to him rebuking Gnostic heretics who denied Christ having existed in the flesh, etc. It could be a response by Ignatius to those heretics. Also the word Eucharist in the early church means simply thanksgiving from the Greek not transubstantiation or a transformation of the Host, etc. The usage of the object in the thanksgiving was simply bread in archaeological evidence not a circular wafer disk in the early church. Its very possible to assume he meant thanksgiving in communion instead of a literal flesh and blood transformation ceremony. Today in the 21st century, Catholic apologists say that Luther believed in the Real Presence, therefore the Reformation was a fluke. The truth is that Luther did believed in the so-called Real Presence, but he denied transubstantiation in his Babylonish Captivity of the Church (1520) and other literature. He did believe in consubstantiation or that Christ’s blood and body was present along with bread and wine in communion. Zwingli, Tyndale, Rogers, Peter Martyr, John Knox, and other Protestant Reformers denied both transubstantiation and consubstantiation. Luther always denied the majority of Catholic doctrines like the infallibility of the pope, purgatory, auricular confession, veneration of images, papacy, etc. The Reformers like all humans weren’t perfect in every aspect of their doctrinal/ religious concepts and Gods word is sufficient enough to refute the Catholic lie of the transforming Host used in a church service. This is Catholic apologetic desperation yet again. John 6 shows no mention of the Mass or the Lords Supper. The Lords Supper is mentioned after John 6 not before or during the chapter. John 6 just describes the method of salvation using metaphors like bread, light, door, etc simply. Thus, the
historical record is in favor of Protestants and all Bible-believers not Catholics since the consensus of the early church all didn’t subscribe to the lying dogma of transubstantiation. 21). 2 Cor. 5:16 Paul said Christ physically isn’t here in a communion service. Paul said Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh, yea though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Paul said we know him no more in the sense of his physical disappearance in heaven. 22). Romans 10:16 Don’t wish to bring Christ down from heaven in a ceremony like the Mass. 23). Mt. 15:17 Whatever comes in someone’s mouth whether if its the wafer or otherwise will enter the digestive system and leave out of the body. So, after eating the wafer, what would happen to it after 8 hrs? Too rough huh. 24). John 6:40/ John 6:63/ John 6:32 Spiritual meaning is displayed and belief count (No mention of communion throughout John 6). 25). 2 Samuel 23:14-25 It shows where the water poured unto the ground before the Lord is called blood. This was figurative language, which was put so forcefully to recognize the risks that had been taken to get this water in the first place. No one takes it literally just like communion elements were not literal flesh and blood. 26). Romans 6:9-10 Jesus died once, resurrected once, and is at the right hand of the Father. 27). A). John 8:35(bread of life) B). John 11:25/ John 10:11 (I am the resurrection and the life) C). John 8:12 (light of the world) D). John 10:1 (I am the true vine) E). John 10:9 (door) F). John 14:6 (I am the way, truth, and the life) These six metaphors show symbols Christ used to convey meanings of salvation, etc. Jesus didn’t say This has become or is turned into my body and blood, which in Greek is touto gignetai, but the Greek phrase touto esti meaning this represents or stands for. Its figurative terms simply. 28). Luke 19:9/ Luke 22:15-20 Zaccheus was saved before communion; so taking the Eucharist isn’t required for salvation. Also, the elderly, sick, crippled, paralyzed, terminally ill, bed-ridden, etc couldn’t possibly take the Eucharist, but only have repentance to be saved without taking the Host. That is even more evidence the Eucharist not necessary for salvation. 29). Luke 22:15/ Exodus 12:4 The symbolic Jewish feast of Passover eludes to the symbolic meaning of communion in the NT and Jesus was also present in a Passover service in the NT. Jesus also in John 6 spoke in the present tense not in the future, before communion ever happened. It refers to salvation presently.
30). Romans 5:19/ Eph. 1:17 Christ alone saves and not participating in a mass ceremony. There is also Daltons Atomic Theory. That means that atoms can neither be created nor destroyed. If the bread and wines atoms can disappear, where the bread and wine go after consecration? It cant be gone; neither can Gods flesh from heaven be placed to earth, which contradict the laws of science. 31). A). Jesus multiplied loaves and fishes (Mt. 14:17-21, 15:34-38, John 6:11-13) B). Jesus turns the water into wine (John 2:1-11) C). Jesus Raised Lazarus and the widows son from the dead. (John 11:1-44, Luke 7:1216). D). Jesus is raised from the dead by his own power (Mt. 28:1-10, Luke 24:14-32, 1 Cor. 15:1E). Jesus healed 2 blind men (Matthew 9:27-31). F). Jesus walks on water (Mt. 14:22-32, Mark 6:47-52, John 6:1-4) The following miracles have one thing in common. They have a great deal of physical evidence and many people witnessed these miracles with eyewitness proof from Gods word and other sources. In contrast, The Eucharist has no physical evidence since the contents of wine and bread stay and taste the same before and after the ritual. The contents disintegrate making it not divine or perfect. See also Luke 1:3 showing that senses are presented as furnishing infallible proofs. In Luke 16:31, miracles must be subjected to Gods word for confirmation. You test miracles by the scriptures and not vice versa. Any miracle that contradicts Gods word is rejected. The burden of proof rests on the miracle not Gods word. 32). 1 Cor. 11:24-26 Jesus said until he come meaning that Christ isn’t present in the Mass physically and Lord has ascended on high on 33 AD. 33). Luke 22:29 The bread and wine are symbols which help one to remember Christ. Even 2 of the greatest Cardinals in the Roman Catholic Church (Cajetan and Bellarmine) both expressively confessed that the doctrine of Transubstantiation was not founded on the word of God, but received from the Church. That means it cant definitely be taken literally. 34). I Peter 3:22 Jesus is at the right hand of God presently not repeating his sacrifice physically in man-made rituals daily. 35). Mt. 24:30/ Acts. 1:11 Rev. 1:7 The physical return of Christ will not happen repeatedly by a Host, but come while everyone will see or notice him. His whole physical body must not be presented or displayed in a wafer. Note: A different priest in different churches worldwide uses a different wafer and cup of wine for usage. Those objects are nowhere being consistent or equal making it not divine. 36). 1 Cor. 15:50 Flesh and blood cant inherit Gods kingdom. The wafer shows later corruption and cant influence the incorruption of Christ being divine not the Victim. 37). Leviticus 6:30 The offering of Christ upon the cross was a sin offering. According to this verse the sin offering was not to be eaten afterwards. The Mass and Christ’s sacrifice are obviously not the same.
38). Acts 7:48 Jesus, who is God, doesn’t dwell in temples or churches that issue mass ceremonies but is in heaven now in his bodily form. 39). Ephesians 4:10/Eph. 2:6 Transubstantiation contradicts the biblical doctrine of incarnation and ascension. Jesus has only one body, and its located in heaven. Jesus body is therefore not in thousands of tabernacles and churches around the world. 40). Heb. 6:6 The Mass is similar to crucifying Christ over and over again since Catholics claim Jesus is present in a wafer. That’s symbolically undoing Calvary and Christ’s resurrection. 41). Gen. 14:18 Melchizedek brought forth bread and wine. The verb brought forth is used hundreds of times in the OT, but never is linked to any ritual, sacrifice, especially a transubstantiated substance or object. 42). Mt. 24:23-27,30 /Luke 17:23-24 Someone claiming Christ is here whether in the Host or anywhere without biblical confirmation of every eye seeing him, biblical prophecy, etc is a liar. That (host/wafer) is a false sign and a lying wonder to claim that Christ is present in a host. 43). Exodus 20:4-5 Eucharistic adoration violates the 2nd commandment. We are to never worship or bow before religiously to anything (including the wafer which isn’t GOD but an object) but God himself only. See also Isaiah 42:8 and Acts 17:29. 44). Ecc. 5:1-2 God is in heaven and humans who are alive exist on Earth. The Eucharist cannot be God, since Christ presently resides in heaven and his 2nd coming hasn’t occurred yet. 45). 1 Thes. 4:16 This prophecy explicitly says that when Christ comes back in the physical form, the voice of the archangel will sound and the dead in Christ will rise first and the end-times will happen. There cant be a 5 or 1,000,000,0000 comings of Christ in Mass but only 2 physical comings of Christ as simply shown from the scriptures. 46). John 6:51-53 These verses are one of the most controversial verses in the Bible. This verse says to eat Christ’s flesh and blood to have eternal life, etc. But hold on, that is a literal interpretation and in the Bible Christ used a symbolic and literal interpretation of the scriptures. Now in v. 63 he gives his true meaning along with in v. 40 and v. 35. We can only give a symbolic designation for v.51-53 because the Scriptures throughout the Bible mention salvation without eating or drinking Christ’s blood. Its all by his spirit not eating and drinking. That’s an action therefore a work and man is not justified by any of his/her works or deeds but by his grace through faith. Not to mention that if we follow the Catholic interpretation, it would contradiction tons of Biblical concepts of his 2nd coming, salvation, idolatry, scientific laws, etc. Christ’s blood is real flesh and real blood because he existed in the flesh. His blood was used on the cross for the remission of sins and his flesh was used on the flesh for all mans salvation. He was using the words eating and drinking to convey meaning. He contrasts the Jewish manna and his flesh and blood to show that point. The physical manna was eaten and the Jews died yet his flesh and blood (belief or internalizing him) is eaten for our salvation. His spiritual bread and blood does that alone not normal flesh, blood, or food. Normal flesh, blood, and food will decay as time goes on, but his flesh will not see
corruption
and
his
blood
is
very
powerful
for
the
salvation
of
all
men.
Note in that chapter that there is no evidence of the changing of substances in John 6 neither of his disciples eating any flesh or blood in those instances. Its all symbolic and spiritual. Christ said to eat and drink in terms of internalizing him and his doctrine. Of course that’s true and his flesh will remain forever as Gods word said. Christ has all Life and has the right to say by eating and drinking his flesh and blood (in a symbolic way) you have eternal life. 47). John 6:64-71 Now Catholics claim that this section claims that some of the people left because they rejected the Eucharist or literal blood and body of Christ, but that isn’t the case at all. They just rejected of what he said in terms of our means of salvation only. Christ knew who would leave and let those who would reject him go. In those verses, there is no mentioning of the Catholic Eucharist neither of Christ showing his flesh and blood for people to eat and drink or the changing of wine and bread into his flesh and blood. Note that Catholics forgotten that in v. 68-69, Peter acknowledge that the method of salvation is by belief on Christ. Christ didn’t rebuke him at all but in the end of John 6 tells of Judas as one who is a devil. The context is spelled out by comparing scripture with scripture. Catholics distort scripture to validate their beliefs. 48). Mark 14:22-24 Jesus showed the disciples that to eat and drink wine to tell of his salvation plans and reality. Note that Christ said in v.22 . And as they did eat, Jesus took break, and blessed it, and brake it Christ broke the bread throughout the verses so there is no sign of change into the flesh and blood of Christ. To see a changing of substances and Christ commanding them to eat it is cannibalism plain and simple, but that isn’t the case at all. There is no literal flesh and blood, but literal bread and wine to represent literal truths since Christ presently in that scene gave the disciples literal bread and wine. Jesus was the perfect example of this meaning. He represented himself in those simple verses. He gave his flesh by dying on the cross and his blood on the cross was for the remission of sins. Catholicism is ambiguous, because first she says you have to be baptized and you’re saved, then communion, and other procedures to receive full status. She will never in her decrees or doctrine acknowledge that Christ alone is used for salvation.
