Their next two albums, Leave Home and Rocket to Russia, were released in 1977 and it were coproduced by Tommy and Tony Bongiovi, the second cousin of Jon Bon Jovi.
In February 1976, the Ramones recorded their debut album “Ramones “. Dee Dee was the writer. The record, coproduced by Tommy and Craig Leon.
The original members were Joey Ramone (singer), Johnny Ramone (guitarist), and Dee Dee Ramone (bassist).
The band recorded more albums in the next years. The final years were in 1990 and 1996. In those years the Ramones moved to Radioactive Records and they appeared on an episode of The Simpsons titled "Rosebud”.
On July 20, 1999, Dee Dee, Johnny, Joey, Tommy, Marky, and C.J. appeared together at the Virgin Megastore in New York City for an autograph signing. This was the last occasion on which the original four members of the group appeared together.
