The title refers the end of the film because in the end, the main characters discover that they are the ghosts, they thought during all the film that the ghosts was the other people and in the end they discover that the ghosts are they. 2. Name the elements chosen by Amenábar to enhance the horror atmosphere. Would you like to add any more? Amenábar chose elements like the flog, cloudy days, a very big house in the middle of the wood, the weather is cold, inside de houses the dark. The story of the film is situated in the end of the first world war, we can deduct it because Grace have a husband and one day his husband return in the house and Grace said that the war had been finished.
