Celebration Choir & Orchestra Rehearsals begin this week! Call 303/806-2609 if you wish to be a part of the choir or orchestra and have not signed up yet or if you have questions.

Singles - Signature Sound Concert (Saturday, August 29) Buy your ticket and then meet up with other singles by the Breezeway water fountain 45 minutes before the concert. We’ll sit together and then go out for dessert afterwards. For more info, call Faye Yoder at 303/798-4390.

Don’t forget to bring your baked goods for the Bake Out. Tables will be set up in the Breezeway, so you can drop them off there. We distribute these treats to local businesses to bless their day. Are you interested in becoming a member of Denver First Church? If so, we will be having a Membership Class from 4:00 - 6:00 pm in Room 200. Family Camp at Golden Bell The Children’s Department would like to inform you that there are still camp sites available for those interested in Family Camp at Golden Bell. Join the fun on Friday, Sept. 4th - Monday, Sept. 7th. Call Golden Bell at 719/687-9561 to reserve your spot today! Baptism Class Are you interested in being baptized? If so, please call Angie Lang at 303/806-2603 to sign up for the baptism class on September 6th from 5:00-6:00 pm (Room 200). Waves Lock-In: A Mid-High All-Nighter All 7-9 graders, come join us on Friday, September 11 from 7:00 pm to Saturday, September 12 at 8:00 am. Cost is $30 or bring a non-DFC friend and you both pay $25. This fun filled night will include a trip to “Boondocks.” Women of the Word Begins the Week of September 15 Two days and times are available: Tuesdays at 9:30 am and Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. Both meet in the Fellowship Hall. We will be studying Genesis. Books will be available in the class. For more info, contact Karen Gunstream at 303/805-8660. Women of Faith Conference (September 25 & 26) Tickets are available! Special seating is available for those with mobility difficulty. Standard seating is $65 and prime seating is $75. This is all day Friday and Saturday. Two lunches are $24 extra. Please contact Elsie Ellison for more info: 303/806-0248. IN Group Fall Color Trip -- All Adults Welcome! September 29-October 1 (two overnights) will include the Cumbres & Toltec Steam Train between Antonito, CO and Champa, NM. First class accommodations at the “Inn of the Rio Grande Hotel.” We are limited to 50 people. If interested, get full details at the IN Group Booth (South Entrance). Deadline for registration and payment is Sunday, Sept. 13. Weekly Prayer Walk Please join us every Saturday morning at 7:00am for an hour of prayer while we walk. Meet in the west parking lot. Call 303/756-8552 if you have questions. Pardon Our Dust! For the next few weeks, the church offices will be repairing the damage caused by the hailstorm on June 7th. This will include removing damaged wallpaper, drywall prep and painting, along with moving furniture in and out of offices to make way for new carpet. We are looking for volunteers that can help with this. If you would be able to volunteer between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, sometime over the next few weeks, please call Angie Lang at 303/806-2603 and let her know the times that you would be available to help.
