THE INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0

This fourth generation industrial revolution is a generation that allows humans to further optimize brain function characterized by the emergence of supercomputers, smart robots, vehicles without drivers, genetic editing and neurotechnology development.The development of science and technology has changed the world. From the first generation revolution that gave birth to history when human and animal power has been replaced by the appearance of a machine. 1. Competitiveness and competitive advantage with a number of countries. Competition with other countries is unavoidable because the boundaries of nations and countries will fade as digital technology advances. Competitiveness and competitive advantage must be viewed as a whole, both in terms of the ability to export products and services and in terms of ability to meet domestic demand.The industrial revolution 4.0 must be able to increase the competitiveness of the steel, copper, aluminum, nickel, machinery, food and energy industries whose value and import growth are relatively increasing. 2. 4.0 industrial revolution must have a solid and balanced basic structure, a strong and competitive pillar. 3. The challenges that will be faced are advanced processed products with a digital technology approach.Basic raw materials for most national industries and for international markets must also be further processed. With the advancement of digital technology, the processing and development of raw goods must be easier. 4. Industrialization options can be achieved so effectiveness and on target must be a priority. This means that national industrial development strategies and policies are needed that are sharp, precise and loyal. National industrial development strategies and policies need to be directed at creating and developing industries that are competitive in comparative and competitive terms.The industrial revolution must also be able to absorb domestic workers by creating businesses and empowering small businesses and becoming a driver of the national economy. The positive impact of the industrial revolution is that it can develop innovation, increase per capita income and improve people's quality of life. In addition to these positive impacts, industrial revolution 4.0 also has a negative impact, such as unemployment can occur if the government is unable to make regulations related to the business model of new technology, and economic inequality can occur. Other effects that arise are that some professions / jobs will be replaced by technology, including Bank Teller,Cashier, Receptionist, Telephone operator, Postman,Travel Agent,Reporter and Accountant. As the evolution of the computer is very rapid, the application or software also developed. For an accountant mastering Microsoft Office is standard stock in making financial reports. But sometimes mastering Microsoft Office is still not enough, accountants must be able to use various computer

applications specifically for accounting. Own accounting software is software that is used to facilitate recording and other activities of accounting. Such as purchases (account payable), sales (account receivable), payroll, ledgers and others. For example, to make financial statements of a large company, if done manually it will be vulnerable to errors and also require a long time. Applications that have been widely used in Indonesia include: Journal, Keysoft, Limax, EAS, Acosys, Accurate, Bee, Corcus, Abipro, FINA, MAS, Integrated System, Zahir. In my opinion, the industrial revolution 4.0 that we usually know of the digital age, an era where the integration between the internet and the business world in an industry means that all production processes are sustained by using the internet. Industrial revolution 4.0 actually has a positive influence especially in the economic field , among others, increasing human resources, opening new jobs so as to reduce unemployment, and also opening the market to foreign countries. So the point is that this industrial revolution 4.0 is not a threat but a new opportunity so that we must prepare ourselves so that we can use these opportunities well.
