The good side of it all. He was glancing at me flirtatiously, every now and then. He was my cousin's friend which made it all very awkward, but something felt different this time. He never really paid attention to me, and now I was absorbing all the attention I could get. I put down my drink and walked up to him. "Hey," I whispered in his ear. He grabbed my hand, pulling me in the direction of his bedroom. "Where are we going?" I asked wearily. "Shh," he said lazily. Like he was drunk. I knew I should have come to this party. He opened the door for me, and locked it once we were inside. "I like you," he admitted, and then hiccoughed. I blushed, "Really?" He smiled sweetly at me. "Of c-course," he stuttered drunkily. "You're drunk," I sighed as I made my way to the door. But he put his hands around my waist, and pulled me closer to him instead. "I'm just buzzed," he whispered into my ear. He started kissing my neck, sending me into a submissive state. I knew this was wrong, but I liked the guy for some time, and I thought I should play along if I wanted him to like me. "You smell good," he breathed onto my neck, giving me goosebumps. "Thank you," I murmured. He pushed me in the direction of his bed. "Juanito, what are you doing?" I asked, too much in a state to push him away. He chuckled as he pushed me onto the bed and climbed ontop of me. "You're so beautiful," he sighed happily. He started carressing my legs and kissing my neck. "Say my name," he ordered flirtatiously. "Juanito," I breathed. That seemed to set him off. He positioned himself between my legs unzipped his jeans. That's where this horrible situation started. Chapter 1: Accidents happen I woke up next to Juanito, wondering what had happened. He grunted in his sleep, rolling over. I looked down at the blood on my legs. "Oh no," I whispered to myself. I just lost my virginity to Juanito, my cousin's friend. I basically grew up with this guy. "Ugh!" I muttered into the silence. I got up painfully, and started dressing. "What are you doing in here?" Juanito asked sleepily. I jumped at the sound of his voice. "You brought me in here remember?" I said coldly, putting on my ripped corsette. "Thanks for ruining my corsette. I'm gonna borrow one of your shirts." He rubbed his eyes and scratched his head. "What do you mean I brought you in here?" He asked confused and hungover. "You brought me in here and you know.." I said awkwardly. He groaned, "Are you serious?" I rolled my eyes at him. He looked at the blood on my legs, too. Horror crossed his face.

"Oh my God, I didn't!" He complained. I pulled my legs through my shorts. "You did," I answered. He groaned again, "Don't tell Nick," He pleaded. "He'd kill me". "You took my virginity and I'm doing you favours?" I scoffed. He rolled his eyes at me. "I'm sorry, okay? Just please don't tell him," He begged. I sighed, "I won't-ow!" I exclaimed as I zipped up my shorts. "Can't handle me, eh?" He laughed. "Shutup," I sneered, and I slammed his door on my way out. I walked into the kitchen where red, plastic cups lay everywhere. This was my time alone to mourn. I shouldn't have given in, I should have been more alert. As much as I liked Juanito before, I hated him now. He took advantage of me last night. I looked for some uneaten food in the fridge, but everything was gone. I sighed and slumped to the bathroom. I turned on the light to find two people passed out in the shower. "Juanito!" I charged through his door, he was getting dressed. "You need to drive me home!" I demanded. He raised his eyebrows at me. "Drive yourself," he sneered. I folded my arms across my chest. "I'm 16 and I don't have my liscense." "Let me have a shower first,"he sighed. I laughed, "Have fun with that." "What happened?" He asked as he put his wife-beater on his muscular skin. "Two people passed out in there," I said. He kissed his teeth. "I'll shower at your house then," he said. "Me first," I told him. "I'm not driving you then, you can walk Ms. Blood stain," He said. I rolled my eyes. "That's why I need to shower first," I said obviously. "We could shower together," He suggested playfully. My heart fluttered. "I'm kidding," He laughed. He faced me, pushing me out of the way. "What if Nick asks where you got that?" He said, indicating my blood. "Nose bleed?" I suggested. "That could work," he shrugged. "Hurry up!" He urged as people were looking at me funny. I jumped into the passenger seat, sitting down next to him. I barely got my seatbelt on before he pumped the gas pedal. "Slow down!" I yelled over the engine. He laughed at my distress. I hung onto the dashboard for dear life. "Please Juanito!" I shouted. "You owe me!" I shrieked. He stopped laughing suddenly, and slowed the car down. I smiled to myself triumphantly. I stared at his serious face. His hazel eyes were watery, and it stood out on his dark skin. His jet black hair was silky and soft. I remembered from last night, being entangled in him. Him kissing my neck gently, sending my body into shock. He screeched to a stop, leaving me embarassed for thinking about that. I hated getting carried away. He was out of the car before me. I scurried behind him. "Hello?" He called into the house, as he walked in.

Nick was on the couch with a girl. They were snuggled up together, looking disastrous. "Okay, I'm gonna take a shower now," I said as I headed up the stairs. Juanito sighed, "Hurry up!" I looked in the mirror at the horror. My makeup was all smudged and the curls in my red hair looked all tangled and frizzy. Around my blue eyes, everything was pink. I looked terrible. I even had bruises on my arms. I looked like the girl on the corner of the street. I stepped into the shower, throwing my clothes and Juanito's shirt onto the floor. "Ahhh," I sighed happily as the hot water eased my muscles. Thoughts of Juanito poured into my head. He was four years older than me, and I was just a little kid to him. Maybe that was why he never really liked me. I pictured him kissing my neck again, asking me to say his name. It was one of the best and one of the worst moments of my life. Best, because it was what any girl would want. To be told beautiful. To feel the special bliss. Worst, because it was all a lie. Because it was with him. I stepped out of the shower and wrapped myself in a towel. The hot, moist air made it harder for me to breathe. I wiped the fog off the mirror. I looked so much better, excuse the bruises and hickies. There was a knock on the door. More like a pound. "Hurry up, kid!" Juanito called. I picked up my clothes and charged out of the door, almost hitting him. "Geez!" He muttered. I ignored him as I slammed my bedroom door. Life was hard. I had to live with my twenty year old cousin, no parents for any of us. My parents parished in a fire, his parents disowned him. Johnathan was another one of my cousins. He owned the flat where the party was held. I blamed him for inviting me. I was all alone in this world from the start. I picked up the phone to dial Jefferson's number. I slumped on my bed, still with the wet towel wrapped around me. "Hello?" He answered after the fifth ring. "Jefferson?" I asked. "What happened to you last night?" "Uh, I don't really remember." He answered, sounding really guilty. I sighed, "Who is she?" He sighed too and said, "Courtney." I hung up on him. I knew I shouldn't be too angry at him for cheating on me. I technically cheated on him, too. But it wasn't my fault. Was it? I threw my phone into the corner where a huge lump of clothes broke it's fall. "Stupid!" I muttered into the silent room. I shook my head, clearing my thoughts, and searched for a clean pair of clothes. I settled for baggy pants and a white tank top. I tied my wet hair up into a bun, and put some foundation to cover up the hickies on my neck. My door opened suddenly. "Cassandra?" Juanito said shyly. "What?" I asked annoyed. What else could he want? "We need to talk about last night." He said seriously and he closed the door behind him. I sighed, "What is there to talk about?" "Plenty," he said. "I said hi to you and you took me to your room," I shrugged.

He sat down on my bed. "What else?" He asked. "You told me you liked me," I said quietly. He laughed, "Typical." "We both had something to drink," I said defensively. "Yeah but you remember everything so you weren't that drunk," he scoffed. "How could you fall for that?" I turned around to face him, leaning on my dresser. "I didn't! I was going to leave, but you stopped me," I said defensively once again. "That's it," I said absently. "Look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to take it." He apologized. I sat on the bed beside him. "It's my fault," I told him. "Yeah, whatever. Just don't tell any body." He said sourly as he stood up and walked out of my room. I followed shortly after, sprinting down the stairs. "Hey," Nick said stiffly from the kitchen table, where Juanito was sitting also. I looked away quickly, trying not to make anything obvious. "Hi," I said quickly, and I walked swiftly to the fridge. "You guys had a wild night," He said. I froze. "I saw the way you guys partied," He finished. I softened a little bit. "Not together," I corrected a little too quickly. Juanito coughed. "I know," Nick said obviously. I grabbed a bottle of water, and hurried out of the kitchen. "What's her problem?" I heard Nick ask from the kitchen. "I don't know," Juanito replied awkwardly. If only that night didn't happen.
