Hailey Wright Technology Assessment Project Original Kahoot ELL Kahoot Grade-Below Kahoot 1. The lesson that the Kahoot would’ve been apart of would be a final review at the end of the year for what the first grade classroom would’ve learned by then. The lessons put together would be knowing any addition of numbers that add up to 20 or less. It also includes the subtraction of any numbers 20-0. The Kahoot also reviewed the commutative property with addition and the addition of 3 numbers under 10. The purpose of this assessment is to make sure that the students fully understand concepts taught to them to determine whether or not review is needed in certain aspects of first grade math. 2. I designed the first assessment by looking at the common core math standards of a first grader and came up with questions that would showcase that a student had properly learned that skill. With the ELL kahoot, I translated the English into French in order to accomodate a student whose first language is French. I also, added additional time to answer the questions to allow the ELL students time to process and translate the information. For the final kahoot designed for kindergartners, I looked under the same common core math standards for kindergartners. I designed the questions based on those standards. Designing the kahoots wasn’t too difficult and luckily I have studied French for many years so I was able to translate English to French pretty easily. 3. I chose to accommodate for an ELL student as well as a student from the grade below the grade I originally made the kahoot for. In order to accommodate the ELL student, I translated everything in English to French and added response time to each question.

For the grade below kahoot, I looked at the common core math standards for the grade and created the questions appropriate to the standards. In order to pass, the students must show a decent understanding of topics such as addition, subtraction, and how to add or subtract a 0. 4. If students showed a lack of understanding in certain aspects of the kahoot (ex/ the addition or subtraction), then I would review the topics and sort out any confusion. Even if it meant reteaching the lesson in a different way. If the students passed and showed no confusion with any of the topics, then I would move on to start teaching very simple second grade math concepts in order to get them started for the year ahead.
