Task 1: For the following questions describe as accurately as you can the type of work performed as the guide teacher assistant: 1. What kind of activity did you perform the first time your guide teacher asked for your help? How long did it take? The first activity that I performed was helping the students with some vocabulary issues for the application of “ing” forms in common sentences. I had to help them to use the dictionaries and apply the words they were looking for. This activity only took twenty minutes. 2. What were the students doing before you started helping out? Who gave the instructions, you or your guide teacher? The students were seat waiting for the instructions and writing in their copybooks what the teacher was writing in the whiteboard. The instructions were given by the teacher and after that she told me that if I want I could help them just with the vocabulary but they must use the dictionaries. 3. How did the students react? Describe the atmosphere of the room and the levels of engagement in the room. The students were fine, their reaction was friendly but they did not ask me, they wait me ask first. And in general they were vey interested in doing the activity.

4. What other assignments were asked you to do? How often? That was the unique opportunity that I have to be in an activity. The school is on the strike. 5. What activities or resources did you propose? Were they used? How effective were they? I could not propose any resource or activity. But they had only three dictionaries for the whole class and they have to share them, so I had the idea to buy some for them and give to the students to have the opportunity to have one, but the school is on the strike. 6. Were you asked to prepare any kind of special audio visual material for the required assignments? How did the student like it? No, I was not. 7. Did your guide teacher provide feedback on your performance in the classroom? How often? How did you react? No, she did not.
