Te Tai Tamariki o Te Rawhiti Noho 3 Noho 3 went underway on the 28th of September. Although it was great to see all the hype and excitement coming from the tai tamariki it was a bit sad knowing that Whaea Barb was stuck at home fighting off a nasty bout of the flu. Starting off our 2 night 3 day noho was a powhiri for the Youth Transition Team from Kawakawa, which was done by Samuel and Bowen who sat on our Taumata backed up by our young wahine ma with their waiata. It was a great learning process for us all and was done without hesitation by the boys. (big ups to Sam and Bowen for stepping up). Following the powhiri our tamariki spent a few hours learning games and a few Mau rakau moves from Matua Wally Aperahama and Matua Mark Heremaia.

After lunch Mariao took the group through a bit of role playing exercises and Whaea Jacci did a few waiata with them. (Matua Wally Aperahama)
Full on day for the youth. So after a lovely dinner was eaten and the dishes washed and dried it was time for a walk back trough time with Whaea Anya and Nanny Helen.
That afternoon the tamariki went and had some fun with the local Fire Brigade.
