TAWAF WIDAA’
(Farewell circumambulation) Before leaving Makkah, it is obligatory (wajib) for pilgrims to make this Tawaf. It is preferred that this be done at time of leaving (viz. after vacating hotel and when all luggage has been placed in the bus). After which to offer prayer at Maqam Ibrahim, drink Zam-zam water facing the Kiblah and then go to Multazim before departing. It is recommended to recite the following:
©2005ZhulkefleeHjIsmail
31
At Multazim – make any requests - and include this recitation:
• As-saa- ilu bi-baa-bika yas-aluka min-fadwlika wa-ma’-ruu -fika wa-yar -juu raH-matika. • (I am) the beggar is at Your Door asking for Thy favour and Thy recognition, and seeking Thy Mercy.
©2005ZhulkefleeHjIsmail
32
At Multazim – make any requests - and include this recitation: • Allaahum-ma in-na haa-dzaa bay-tukal-ladzii ja-’al-taa-huu mu-baa-rakanwa-hudanlil-’aalameen, fee-hi aa-yatun-bay-yi-natunma-qaamu ib-raaheem. Wa-man-da -kho- la-huu aa-minan. • O Allah! Verily Thy House that Thou blessed and made as guidance for the (people of the) worlds, in it are the signs manifest, Maqam-e-Ibraheem, whosoever enters it attains security.
©2005ZhulkefleeHjIsmail
33
At Multazim – make any requests - and include this recitation: • AlHamdu-lil-laahil-ladzii haday-naa-li-haa-dza, wa-maa-kunnaa, li-nah-ta-di-ya lau-laa an-ha-dai-nallaah, fa ka-maa hadai-ta-naa, fa-ta-qob-bal min-naa , wa-laa-taj-’al haa-dzaa, aa-khi-ral-’ah-di min-bay-ti-kal-Ha-raam,- war-zuq-naal ‘awda -ilay-hi, hat-taa tar-dwaa- ‘an-naa bi-Roh-matika yaa-arHam-mar-Ro-himeen.
• All praise is due to Allah! Who guided us to this, and were we not guided if Allah had not guided us. So as You have guided us, therefore accept this from us and do not make this visit to Thy Sacred House our last one, and grant us the return to it again until Thou has become pleased with us with Thy Mercy, O Most Merciful of the Merciful!. ©2005ZhulkefleeHjIsmail
34
Then step back to leave the Ka’abah – and make this supplication from afar: • Allaahumma- laa-taj-’al-hu aa-khiral-’ah-di min-bay-tikal-ha-raam, wa in-ja-’al- ta, fa-aw-widw-min-hul-jan-naah. • Aa- i-buu-na taa -i- buu- na- ‘aa-bi-duu-na li-rob-bi-naa, Haa-miduu-na lir-roH-ma-ti, qo-si-duu-na, swa-do-qallahu wa’-dah, wa-nasoraa-’ab-duhuu, wa-ha-za-mal aH-zaa-ba waH-dah. Laa-haw-la wa-laa-quw-wata il-laa bil-laahil-’aliy-yil-’a-zeem.
• O Allah! Do not make this visit to Thy Sacred House as our last one, and if You decree it as our last, then reward us with Paradise in return, (we are) yearning for a return, as repenters, worshippers of our Lord, praising, heading towards His Mercy. Allah’s promise is True, He helped His servant (Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.) and defeated the army of non-believers all by Himself, There is none who has Might and Power except with the help of Allah, the Most High the Most Esteem. ©2005ZhulkefleeHjIsmail
