This Season’s Menu is Inspired by Botticelli and Keith Haring. This is my attempt at complicated minimalism. While far from being a work of literary art, look beyond the words and you will find secret culinary delights at every twist and turn.

If you have any questions about ingredients, please feel free to ask. We can often adapt dishes to suit particular dietary needs.

***These items are prepared in the same kitchen as items that contain nuts, soy, wheat, seafood and other items that you may be allergic to. If you have a known allergy or sensitivity, please let your server know, and we’ll make sure to adapt your meal as best as we can. ***

BNB FAQ Responsible BYOB Policy BYOB is allowed only with dinner or dinner reservations, and as long as there are no minors at the same table. We want you to have a great time. We’re just looking out for the kiddies! We reserve the right to drive you home if you are sloshed. But please don’t get sloshed. We’re not that type of place.

Do You Cater? Do You Deliver? Yes & Yes. We have served special events, parties and meetings from 10-150 people, effectively, professionally and, most of all, deliciously. Soups, Salads, Quiches, Wraps, Stir Fries, Seafood, Sweets, Exotic Drinks & Coffees, and pretty much anything else you’d like. We deliver to the Danville area, Geisinger, and occasionally beyond.

Why aren't you open all the time? If you are new to Brews N Bytes, we are a family owned and operated business with all the ups and downs that that entails. We are part of the Danville Community and our restaurant is a living and breathing entity. The food here is meticulously and lovingly prepared by my wife, and probably served to you by my cousin or daughter. As a family, we also require some down time, just like you. So that’s why we have unconventional hours.

Wow, this place feels like home... If it feels like home here at Brews N Bytes, it is because our family lives and breathes and exists within these walls. So rest assured that Home Made means Home Made.

Who is this mysterious and elusive Chef Noo-Noo? NooNoo is Moosey. Oh, Moosey is Chef Lisa, my very significant other and the designer of your dish today.. I have been calling her “pet names” ever since I can remember. Some other favorites of mine are: Popa, Ovaltine, Momo, Nougat, Maybelline, Saltine and Eep. You get the idea. A rose by any other name...

FYI: At BNB we don’t play the numbers game… We will never rush you out of the door like other places. We encourage you stay as long as you’d like (within our normal hours, of course)! Chat with us. Tell us all about yourself. We’d love to hear about your adventures! I’m sure we’ll tell you ours! On that note, since we’re not a conventional restaurant…

When you’re ready for your check you can either come on up to the counter or just flag us down and we’ll bring it to you. Please be kind to your server.

$6.39 Stupid, but Unavoidable Disclaimer Moment This menu expires around July 1st 2008. I’ll try to not do anything radically stupid to the menu before then. Prices subject to change without notice. Availability of menu items varies from item to item and season to season. Good food takes a while to make. Please allow ample time when ordering for delivery or take-out. Please add .29 cent container charge per entrée for food take-out & delivery. Of course if you don’t want to pay the surcharge for take-out, you can always bring in your own containers. If you don’t have your own container and are still bitchin’ & moanin’ about a few pennies to help our “hurtin’” environment, I’ll try to dig up a styro container from the basement. Usually I would have something witty to say just about now...Nothing, nada, niente, merde...Oh well. I guess not all the pistons are firing today. These items are prepared in the same kitchen as items that contain nuts, wheat and seafood. If you have an allergy or sensitivity, please let your server know, and we’ll make sure to adapt your meal as best as we can. If you are allergic to everything, I highly recommend a bubble suit and distilled water. I do keep an epi-pen in the back for that one jackass that’s bound to be allergic to distilled water. Oy. The things I do for love… Tell your friends about us… We don’t really advertise. Word of mouth rules!

Everybody in town claims to have the best coffee, but talk is cheap. The fact of the matter is that a better bean makes a better coffee. We use an nine (9) dollar a pound (at wholesale) bean for our espresso. We deal exclusively with small roasters that have a handle on quality control. I assure you folks, there is no one in this area prepared to spend eight bucks a pound per bean. They think that 3 or 4 dollars is good enough for you, John Q. Public. We believe that you deserve the best, not the mediocre. Don’t take me wrong. I’m not a coffee snob. If I’m on the road, I’ll go into a dunkin or starbux. No problem. But...there is only one place to go to for your coffee in the Central Susquehanna Valley:

Music & Art Initiative

What distinguishes us from the rest of the competition (what competition?) is our commitment to Music & Art in and around Danville. Brews N Bytes is a place where the arts and the patrons of the arts come together. I do it because I was once an aspiring artist too. Don’t be misled by this face. I live for the rhythm of the arts. If you play or have a special talent, talk to me for bookings. Open Mic is perpetual so pick up an instrument and play if you want!

Brews N Bytes Doodling Page. Please, doodle away. Nothing too adult-graphic please, there are kids that read these. Otherwise, have Freudian free-for-all. You don’t even have to stay inside the lines. Plus, if you break your crayon, we’ll getcha another one. Brews N Bytes ...best place ever . We Deliver! We Cater! We Have Gift Certificates & Gift Baskets! We Love Ya! Testing 1.2.3. Does anybody really read this? If you do, THANX!

Did you know that we’ll gladly open for your morning meetings as early as you need us? Yep. And we also offer Yoga Classes, interesting workshops and Special Guest Speakers! Sign up for our email and never miss another event!!

Brews N Bytes Mind-Numbingly Stupid Quotes Thanx to About.com

Here are some of my favorites. If you have a new one, just scribble it in a blank spot.

Brews N Bytes ...Bastion of Music, Arts & Free Speech. That, and great food too.

John McCain "There are neighborhoods in Baghdad where you and I could walk through those neighborhoods today." —prior to visiting a Baghdad market while being flanked by 22 soldiers, 10 armored Humvees, and two Apache attack helicopters

Barack Obama "In case you missed it, this week, there was a tragedy in Kansas. Ten thousand people died -- an entire town destroyed." --on a Kansas tornado that killed 12 people Hilary Clinton "God bless the America we are trying to create." Rudy Giuliani "I'm probably one of the four or five best known Americans in the world." --while visiting Britain Fred Thompson "I'm afraid that the Soviet Union and China are not ever going to do anything that's going to hurt them that badly but we need to ratchet those up if at all possible." --on how he would deal with Russia

Mit Romney "Hugo Chavez has tried to steal an inspiring phrase 'Patria o muerte, venceremos.' It does not belong to him. It belongs to a free Cuba." --invoking a phrase that translates to "Fatherland or death, we shall overcome," which Fidel Castro has used to close his speeches for years, and which is associated with Cuban oppression

George W. "My job is a decision-making job, and as a result, I make a lot of decisions." --George W. Bush, The Decider, Lancaster, Pa., Oct. 3, 2007

Dick Cheney "There are a lot of lessons we want to learn out of this process in terms of what works. I think we are in fact on our way to getting on top of the whole Katrina exercise." --Sept. 10, 2005 I could go on and on folks, but my head would explode from all the crap fed into it by all political aspirants and “parties.” Left, Right, Center, Up, Down, Green ,Yellow, Red, Blue… Crap is crap. I’ll stop now. I don’t feel like stroking today. For goodness sake, use your brain and heart for this next election, not the brain and heart as described by the biased “talk show pundit scumbags.”

We haven’t really advertised in about 2 1/2 years. Why? Because you tell your friends, you bring in your friends, you become our friends.. We choose to put our money into local charities, benefit concerts, arts, music and beautification (not personal, obviously).

Flags of the Brews N Bytes World Thanx to Wikipedia for the smart and fast info

Amish Star

What the heck? I know absolutely nothing about this design. If you have any pertinent facts about this design, help a brother out and let me know. The Big Three Latin Caribbean Islands. Our family is in one way or another from these islands. I had a bunch of Latin jokes to put in here but my wife begged me not to do it., instead I give you flag trivia…bo-rrr-ing

Cuban Flag

Cuba- Two white stripes symbolizing the purity of the patriotic cause. The red triangle stands for the blood shed to free the nation, which is placed where the star is, symbolizing the sky turned red from the blood shed in battle. Gave us a great backdrop for Godfather 2. Cuban salsa music is also called “charanga” and is distinguished from Puerto Rican salsa because of the use of violin and flute.

Puerto Rican Flag

Puerto Rico-The three red stripes represent the blood from the brave warriors. The two white stripes represent the victory and peace that they would have after gaining independence. The white star represented the island of Puerto Rico. The blue represents the sky and blue coastal waters. The triangle represents the three branches of government. Salsa is great to dance to also, but I’m skewed towards Cuban charanga. Sorry. Either way I can’t dance.

Brews N Bytes ...Bastion of Music, Arts & Free Speech. That, and great food too.

Dominican Republic-The cross stands for the Catholic faith, the blue represents the color of Dominican liberty and the red symbolizes blood . This is the island that Meregue came from (not to be confused with meringue. That’s a pie term). The dance consists of a bunch of side to side foot shuffling and hip swaying Flag that my personal pelvis wasn’t designed for. My wife dances a mean merengue. I used to take her dancing...Yeah, I remember that day...

Danish Flag

The cross design of the Danish flag was subsequently adopted by the other Nordic countries: Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Iceland. Great Brie cheese and clogs.

Cincin- This is about our chili, y’all. I don’t really follow sports that much, if at all. I was never an natti Reds athlete, even though I know my Adonis-like physique says otherwise. If I ever had athlete’s foot, my first reaction would be, “That’s not my foot.” (Mitch Hedberg) Flag Spanish Flag

The Motherland, per se, of all things Latino. Land of Picasso, Dali, Great Independent films. Oh, and how could we forget the Spanish Inquisition, when all Perez’s were made to convert to Christianity from Judaism or die at the stake. Nice people in the past century or so, though. A lot less imperialistic since getting their butts busted in 1898 by the U.S. .

Thai Flag

The three colours red-white-blue stand for nation-religion-king, an unofficial motto of Thailand. Once known as Siam. Yes, where sacred temple “Siamese” cats originated from. Tasty and very hot peppers, lemongrass, and coconut milk are three of the Thai ingredients we use here at BNB.

Greek Flag

From the land that gave us Aristotle, the Parthenon and naked wrestling. Two out of three ain’t bad. According to popular tradition, the nine stripes represent the nine syllables of the phrase "Ελευθερία ή Θάνατος" ("Freedom or Death"). There is also a different theory, that the nine stripes symbolize the nine Muses, the goddesses of art and civilization

Middle Eastern Flag

Let’s face it, whether you are a Jew, a Gentile, or a Muslim, everyone in the Middle East enjoys similar foods. Perhaps we can sit and have a nosh over some pita, grape leaves and falafel? Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself.

Indian Flag

In the centre, there is a navy blue wheel with twenty-four spokes, known as the Ashoka Chakra, taken from the Lion Capital of Asoka erected atop Ashoka pillar at Sarnath. Look up Ashoka when you get home. Very interesting… India is a land of much culinary, religious, and social diversity. It is also the most populous capitalist country in the world.

There are many more flags represented in our menu, but alas, the page is finished, and I must get back to the food...Hope you liked it!
