To all, Just when you thought the dust was settling, we are going to increase your workload substantially. We are still refining the NTSB request that was sent out last week regarding AAL11, UAL175, AAL77, and UAL93. While we have all the SATORI info and some NTAP's we need to supply more radar data to supplement what we have already sent. Specifically, we to supply the board with NTAP data for the entire route of each flight while in center airspace. We have some NTAP's from ZDC, ZID, and ZOB for the latter (primary only) part of UAL93's flight and parts of AAL77's flight, but we need additioanl data for that part of each flight that was routine and normal. Please prepare NTAP's for each flight, zip them up and post to the web site. Please name them as follows: * First one of UAL175 for ZNY (if there is more than one) ZNY_UAL175a.txt * Second one of AAL77 for ZID (if there is more than one) ZID AAL77b.txt
In addition, we need to supply any ASR data from all underlying terminal facilities. For instance, if UAL93 passed over the radar coverage of WilkesBarre, PA ASR site, we need a CDR extraction suitable for RAPTOR from that terminal. We understand that UAL93 was at FL310 or higher when it passed overhead, but we need to use all available radar sources. The original request also asked for DART's from each center. Well, after explaining to the board that we can perform a billion different DART's, we settled on just DART runs for tracking info for each subject flight. Please provide these in auomated form also and post to the web site. Name these in a similar fashion so we can identify each one. And the final ?!?! request, we need any and all ERIT data available from any and all radar sites (both terminal and en route) that may be available. >. .— Please check with AF to find out about ERIT data. '\ Again, we need this data in automated form, so please zip it up and post it to the web site. Once each region determines what is available, and what is not please, have someone inventory all available files and send a list to us of what you have posted and what is not available. As usual, we need this ASAP, so we can build a replay of each event along with FBI and NTSB. Thank you for your help, and please direct any questions to either Dan Diggins or Doug Gould. Dan
