Director of Air Traffic, AAT-1, Thru: AAT-20 Attn: Douglas Gould This memorandum accompanies shipment of copies of the subject files as per your request of October 8, 2003. New York TRACON management, in conjunction with Quality Assurance personnel, has completed the review of facility voice recordings surrounding the events of September 11, 2001. Recorded transmissions of 64 facility operational positions were reviewed for the time period 1200 UTC until 1600 UTC (0800 until 1200 EST) on September 11, 2001. Approximately 25 of the 64 positions were found to_have transmissions pertinent to the events of that day. The following is an index of the re-recordings being retained by the New York TRACON. Senior Advisor to the Deputy Administrator, ADA-2 The Potomac TRACON (PCT) was not a commissioned facility on September 11, 2001. The facility did not provide any air traffic services during the incidents of that date, nor any follow-up support. All 911-related records and packages that were generated at the Washington Metropolitan Area air traffic facilities, that later consolidated into PCT, were retained at the respective originating facilities. We are unaware of any files or records retained at PCT relating to the events of September 11,2001.

Senior Advisor to the Deputy Administrator, ADA-2 The Potomac TRACON (PCT) was not a commissioned facility on September 11, 2001. The facility did not provide any air traffic services during the incidents of that date, nor any follow-up support. All 911-related records and packages that were generated at the Washington Metropolitan Area air traffic facilities, that later consolidated into PCT, were retained at the respective originating facilities. We are unaware of any files or records retained at PCT relating to the events of September 11,2001.
