Survey on Possible New Library Materials Campus Delivery Service The library is seeking input from as many faculty members as possible about whether they would be interested in using a delivery service of materials from our collections to departmental offices once a day that would also pick up materials for return. So if you could take a few moments to fill out and return the survey via campus mail to Dr. Betty Paulk, Assistant Director, Odum Library, we would appreciate it very much! Checking out books and other materials at Circulation Desk. Placing course materials on reserve for students at the Circulation Desk. Making an appointment for a consultation with a reference librarian. Scheduling a library instruction session for one of your classes with the Reference Department. Using GILExpress to request books from libraries within the University System of Georgia. Using ILLIAD to request books from outside the university system libraries and photocopies of articles from journals owned by other libraries that will be delivered electronically to your computer. As stated above, the library is thinking about offering a delivery service that would deliver books and other returnables from our collection once a day to individual departments’ offices for pickup by faculty who ordered them, and the service would also pick up materials for return when faculty have finished using them. This service would be free. Would you use such a service if it were offered? A. Yes B. Not sure C. No

The library is also considering offering a delivery service of articles from our own collection of bound and microfilm journals in our collection. Requests would be delivered electronically

through the ILLIAD system like articles received through interlibrary loan currently are. Would you be interested in such a service if it were offered? A. Yes B. Not sure C. No 6.

Supplying photocopies is more labor intensive than supplying books, since it does entail scanning a number of pages, then sending it off to the user. If there was a charge involved, would you still be interested in this service? A. Yes B. It would depend on how much the charge was C. No
