CREDIT

All courses carry three semester hours of credit with the exceptions of Education 694, 695, and 696 which are 6 credit hour courses and marked with a double asterisk (**).

TUITION

At all locations: 500 and 600 Level Courses: $310.00 per credit hour. Students taking Practicum or Internship will be charged a fee of $35.00 per semester hour in addition to regular tuition.

PRACTICUM AND INTERNSHIP INFORMATION

Placement requests for EDUC 557, 558, and 693 for Fall Semester are due by May 26, 2009 to Kelly nd Ashworth in Room 230 (910-893-1630). The forms are available on the 2 floor of Taylor Hall.

Currently enrolled students who have the permission of their advisor may register online at http://wa.Campbell.edu. Students must speak with their advisor prior to registering online. The advisor or their designee must enter the advisement code to officially complete the registration. If you have questions accessing the site, please call the help desk at 893-1208. The deadline to pre-register is Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Confirmation of registration is not sent unless requested by the student with a self-addressed envelope. If there is a problem with your registration then the School of Education will contact you.

REMINDER: Most of the faculty will not have normal office hours during the month of May. Students should contact their advisor by email to schedule an appointment.

REGISTRATION

MAIN CAMPUS: Registration for new students and those who have not registered will be held from 10:00-5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 for Summer Session I and Summer Session II in Taylor Hall, room 208. Faculty members will be available at that time for advisement. It is recommended that appointments be made for advising to avoid long waits. Please note: Graduate students may register for classes up to the 2nd class meeting. Students who attend classes without being officially registered for the course will not be given credit for the course. If you are not on the roll for the class you are taking, you must see Lou Sherman in room 208. A student must be fully admitted to a program before registering for a third course. If you have any questions on admission status, please contact the School of Education, Graduate Admissions office at 1800-334-4111 ext. 5515 or direct at 910-814-5515. Campbell University reserves the right to limit enrollment and to cancel classes with insufficient enrollment.

GRADUATE CREDIT

Courses may apply toward a graduate degree upon official admission to the graduate program at Campbell University. A student must hold a baccalaureate degree to be eligible for credit in a graduate course. These courses may be used for renewal of teaching licenses. All questions concerning license renewal should be directed to the student’s school unit.

WITHDRAWAL FROM A COURSE

Students must officially withdraw from a class to avoid receiving a grade of “F” for the class and being charged for the class. Students who officially drop a class by the second night of class will receive a full refund. Classes dropped after the second night but prior to midterm (7th night of class), may be refunded up to one-half tuition. No refunds will be made after midterm. Withdrawal from a class cannot be completed through Web Access. An official form for withdrawing from a course may be obtained on the web site for the School of Education Graduate Program or from the School of Education Graduate Office (room 208). The form must be returned to Lou Sherman in room 208 or by fax at 910-893-1999. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain all necessary signatures. To receive a full refund, the student must complete the withdrawal process prior to the beginning of the second class meeting.

COMPREHENSIVE EXAMS

All degree seeking students must take and pass comprehensive exams. The comprehensive exams are administered two times yearly, typically, the third Saturday in November and March. th APPLICATIONS to take the comprehensive exams in November are due by September 15 . th Applications to take the comprehensive exams in March are due by January 30 . Applications must be turned into Lou Sherman in Room 208 of Taylor Hall. Application forms are available online and outside room 208. See your advisor if you have questions.
