ARTIST TRADING CARDS Artist Trading Cards, or ATCs, miniature works of art. ATCs are collectables, a brilliant idea from Swiss Artist M Vanci Stirnemann, based on the older sports-themed trading cards. Stirnemann wanted an inexpensive way for artists to exchanging their works and meet other artists. To be an ATC, the cards, like the sports trading cards they are derived from, must be 2.5”x3.5”, or 64x89mm’, and have the artist’s name, contact information, title of the ATC on the back. That’s all! 01-983 MAKE & TAKES Make & takes are ATC workshops where participants learn new techniques. Some supplies provided for $3 fee. Advance registration not necessary. In Art history a miniature was a small picture illustrating a manuscript. Today the term applied to painting covers any small painting, usually up to 8x10 inches in size with no limit as to subject matter or style. (copyright Priscilla Hauser). SUMMER TIME TALENT SHOW -2009 This event will be held on July 23 at 6:30 p.m. in the L. B. Williamson High School Auditorium on the Williamson High School Campus. Always register at least one week before class begins; registration will continue until classes are full. Checks and cash are accepted at the school sites. The school secretaries and staff are not prepared to handle registration. For registration after May 29, at the school sites, please check school headings in this brochure for the days and times that the coordinator will be on site to handle your registration.
