Dear Ms. Harrison: This is a request under the Maryland Public Information Act, State Government Article §§10-611 to 628. Please provide copies of the purchase orders, paid invoices, contracts, licensing agreements, renewals, royalty agreements, royal ty payments, and receiving documents for the Wireless Generationproducts and that have been ordered and received for MCPS classrooms; and, for documents showing the amount of royalties received by MCPS for the Wireless Generationproducts sold to other school systems since the inception of the royalty agreement. In addition, the citation in Board minutes to the acceptance of the Wireless Generation contract and royalty agreement by the Board of Education, the Invitation for Bid (IFB) and Request for Proposal (RFP). If all or any part of this request is denied, I request that I be provided with a written statement of the grounds for the denial. If you determine that some portions of the requested records are exempt from disclosure, please provide me with the portions that can be disclosed. I look forward to receiving disclosable records promptly and, in any event, to a decision about all of the requested records within 30 days. These documents should be available without undue delay as each constitutes a preexisting document that should be in your files and easily released provided that MCPS is adhering to its established practices under MCPS Board of Education Policy DJA.
