USING “HEADS UP!” IN ENHANCING PUPILS’ VOCABULARY SKILLS

Purpose • Pupils are able to strengthen their vocabulary • Guide pupils to seek the meaning of the words learnt • Pupils can learn new words • Helps pupils to understand better in English

Students use a phone to play Heads Up!

One student place the phone on their forehead and the others have to face the student.

The game has a timer which is 60 seconds, so they have to guess the word within the time given

Each student gets their turn to play.

After each session ends, students have to recall back the words and draw on a piece of paper.

They have to act out the word shown on the screen. If correct, tilt downwards. If do not know the answer, tilt upwards.

The session ends with worksheet and questionnaire.
