Bohemian Mods make music that will take you back to a time when rings of cigarette smoke drifted harmlessly through seedy jazz joints and sweet, soulful pop ruled the airwaves. Drawing inspiration from a reservoir of jazz, funk, indie-pop, metal and hip-hop, Bohemian Mods break the mould of a conventional 4-piece indie band. Perfectionists, endlessly seeking to expand their range of sounds and to refine their already unique style - from brass sections to synths, nothing will stop the band modifying their musical arrangements. Once scattered around the country, Bohemian Mods recently

came together in the musically-inspiring city of Brighton, each member adds their own element to the overall musical picture.

Mostly Human are bringing something different to the Brighton music scene with good strong, dynamic, and danceable songs. You won't hear another band around like them. They are currently in the middle of finishing an EP. Currently untitled, it promises to give them more gigging opportunities and more chances to see them.

Music Workshops for Kids 6-16yrs : The Boy Who Grew Too Fast Set on the story of Giancarlo Menotti's children's opera. Poponel, the new boy in town ,comes to school and is ridiculed for being too tall. His mother takes him to see Dr Shrink who agrees to shrink him to a normal size as long as he agrees to fit in with all other norms ie if everyone likes blue jeans he must like blue jeans etc. His teacher is told of this agreement and grudgingly accepts Poponel's choice to conform. But Poponel still finds he is the outsider with no friends. Then a crazy man comes to the classroom and takes the children hostage The teacher negotiates that everyone can go free as long as she and one child remain. Poponel refuses to leave and in so doing, as the teacher understands, breaks from the norm. So he grows back to his original height, he and teacher overcome the crazy man and he becomes a hero, by being himself.

Culture Club Kids has been running free workshops with professional artists in schools and after school since March 2006. Cultures Club is a voluntary group that provides children and young people of all cultures, races and

abilities the opportunity to develop their creativity, confidence, communication and organisational skills. They enable young people to express their ideas, feelings, concerns and to have a voice in the community. Here is your chance to hear what they have been working on!

Tribal Vibes are a 5 piece band, based in Brighton, UK. Their sound is often described as a fusion of Funk and ska with a broad influences from reggae in all its forms. The Band have played all over England with their main stages in and around the festival circuit. Tribal Vibe have also made appearances on

ITV's 'Beat the mix' and we're voted Best Band by the producers. The band is made up of Elliott Locke (rhythm guitar and vocals), Devan Belgrave (Drums), Henry Castledine (Sax), Dan Pavely (Bass) and Nuaziln (lead guitar). They also have some guest musicians who make guest appearances and feature on some of their recorded tracks. A strong theme for their music is the rejection of securities that the world presents and for the battle of the mind and soul, standing together as one people. The band are also known for there friendship that help to support them old and new and always adding more along the way, this being 'Tribal Vibe'. The story behind the band's name is of unity of all people coming together as brothers and sisters to serve one another as created beings giving glory to our creator. The music being the outlet for which we (as a people) express the passion for life that we all share.

Inkyfaithfull, a new Brighton 5 piece show their literary folk penmanship over

a captivating wash of post rock. Complete with a harmonium section, this is sure to be unlike any other band playing on the day. The band take a huge pleasure in crating their music in a liberal city such as Brighton, and their first EP is on its way soon!

Brighton Peace Choir developed from several groups of children that were working on projects associated with Music For Kids. The choir members and their teachers picked up on the fact that several of the kids had been victims of bullying, racial harassment or exclusion, they are also growing up in a time when war and conflict are splashed all over their television sets, games and toys and the covers of newspapers. They looked at times of conflict and realised that this was far from the first. They looked at solutions that had been found in the past and ways that people have found to avoid conflict through examining their own behaviour and upholding human rights. They have also looked at green issues and used their songs to make their contribution to a greener and fairer way of life. The Music Workshop singers hold classes from the early years, through individual tuition, after school and at weekends throughout the weekends and

holidays and mentor bands that teach all genres of music and are based at Under The Bridge Studios. The quality of teaching and enthusiasm of the staff have won them many awards. With 24 years of track record some of Jackie Chase's former babies and toddlers are now adult musician have now joined the teaching team and also teach at local colleges.

Manic Dynamic first appeared when Sam (guitar), Tom (bass) and Jay (drums) met at their college in Brighton (BIMM) in October 2008. The three of them decided to start a band and in January 2009 Sam introduced Kit (guitar) and James (keyboards) to the line-up and Tom brought Beccie (vocals) in to complete the band. Having played Komedia and other Brighton venues already this is a lively bustling 6-piece who describe themselves as a ‘Happy Radiohead’
