DEPARTMENT: Merchandising/Planning Buyer –

The Buyer will report to the Divisional Merchandise Manager for the relevant category line. They will work in team concept and directly supervise a Buyer Assistant and have dotted line responsibility for one Allocator, RA and a Planner. The Buyer is responsible for achieving and or exceeding the financial plan, gross margin plan and turn plan for his/her respective category by developing and implementing merchandising strategies through advertising planning, in store visual planning, purchase planning, and leadership of respective category. • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent relevant experience. • 5-7 years retail buying experience. • Retail operations or management experience preferred. Merchandise Planner

The Planner will report to the Director of Planning and will not have any direct reports. The Planner is responsible for the management and control of the merchandise purchase plan (open to buy). The objective is

to achieve the retail sales and cost inventory plan (EOM) by authorizing the right amount of purchases, at the planned IMU (initial mark up) and promotional murk up plan to support the business plan. In addition, the planner will be responsible to ensure the merchant selected assortment is correct, supports the business and has been sales ranked properly by store group. The planner will be entrusted with the purchase order flow (expected dates to receive product) for seasonal, promotional, advertised and replenishment (core assortment) purchases. • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance or equivalent relevant experience. • 3 to 5 years of planning or merchandising experience. • Computer skills in basic office systems. • Retail experience preferred Location Planner

The City Location Planner will report directly to the Director of Location Planning. Responsible for the management and determination of space and merchandise products as it relates to specific City Store’s needs to maximize sales and profits. This position is responsible for insuring the merchandise assortment selected is correct and supports the seasonality of the Resort Store’s business objectives. • Develop quarterly/seasonal sales, inventory and gross margin targets by location, department and subdepartment in conjunction with merchant team. • Develop unit plans, projections and replenishment on key items. • Create store cluster rankings utilizing historic sales, demographics and space management. • Develop a time and action calendar for season start and stop dates to maximize inventory and sales opportunities and limit liabilities. • 5 years of retail experience is required. • 2-3 years experience in allocation/ merchandise distribution and inventory management. • Candidate must be detail oriented with strong analytical and retail math skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong computer skills are essential. VP/ Divisional Merchandise Manager

The DMM will report to the SVP and will lead a team of Buyers and Buyer Assistants. They will have company wide budgetary and financial responsibility. The DMM will also have a dotted line reporting relationship to the Director of Planning, Group Manager of Allocations, Group Manager of Replenishment & the Group Manager to Business Analysis. The DMM’s goal is to achieve or exceed sales, margin and inventory turn goals. Manage and approve buyers’ forecasts, buying plans and budgets. Ensure vendor negotiations are resulting in the best product and price for the company’s stores. Oversee the training and development of Buyers. • Develops and presents a business strategy/business review to upper management. • Works with vendor community on emerging trends, assortments, and business strategy. • Reviews aged inventory results with Planning division and develops appropriate exit strategy that fits the plan. • Ensures SDQ, pre-pack, case pack, musical and VAS initiatives are executed. • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent relevant experience. • 10 plus years retail buying experience, including at least 5 years of management/supervisory experience in the sporting goods industry. • Strong computer skills. • Strong negotiation, communication, analytical and organizational skills.

DEPARTMENT: Product Development

Group Manager Product Development (PDM)

Position reports to the Director of Product Development and Global Sourcing. The Group Manager Product Development executes the end to end process from the Product development stage through to the actual sourcing of the product from a global supplier base for a defined business or group of businesses. • Manages the design phase of the product development process including working with external vendors and 3rd party design firms and the buyers to execute a cohesive line plan that achieves specific margin and brand goals. • Plays a vital role in managing relationships with outside constituencies for the business area including agents, vendors and label and packaging suppliers, QA providers and our logistics team. • Searches the marketplace for innovative new product ideas and trends aligned with corporate growth strategy. • Researches and evaluates new competitive products for aesthetics, claims, product positioning as they relate to the current Sports Authority brands and future category opportunities. • Establishes sourcing strategy and production methods to ensure margin objectives and quality expectations are met. • Demonstrated leadership in identifying and developing innovated products in a selected business. • 5 years of product development and sourcing experience in the softlines categories. • 5+ years of progressively responsible product development leadership and management experience. • Proven ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams and build processes to deliver results.

DEPARTMENT: Real Estate Sr. Real Estate Associate

The Sr. Real Estate Representative will report directly to the Vice President Real Estate and will be responsible for partnering with and managing relationships with our external brokers and internal departments in order to provide detailed information to support the company’s growth and new stores strategy. The Sr. Rep will be responsible for outlining and verifying the target areas (“trade areas”) for growth and will be responsible for identifying, tracking, and analyzing the competition (current sites, future sites). • Partner with internal and external clients (brokers, internal departments) to provide the company with accurate and detailed information on real estate locations, helping to guide senior leadership towards making strategic Real Estate decisions. • Work with the regional Vice President Real Estate to establish market development plans that identify areas for growth opportunities. • Analyze market potential by researching demographic variables, pedestrian/traffic counts, and other activity generators to project growth opportunities. • Conduct detailed evaluations of trade areas to include assessment of competitors, complementary businesses, and operating conditions to evaluate potential success for future store location. • Work with Real Estate brokers to identify strong candidate sites for new store development. • 2-5 years real estate financial analysis experience required, preferably in a retail environment. • Bachelor’s degree in geography, urban studies, or GIS. Master’s degree a plus.

Strong background and knowledge in spatial analysis; geographic and demographic concepts and data. Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office products required. Experience with statistical software and modeling preferred, experience with Claritas a plus.
