The VICSERV 2010 conference targets representatives from the mental health, community support, government and education sectors to a major international mental health conference with an expected 1500 delegates over the two‐day event.
The keynote speakers From the US, Tina Minkowitz is a Lawyer and one of the Chairpersons of the World Network of Users and Survivors of Psychiatry and she was also extensively involved with drafting the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Gregor Henderson, MA, MSC, Advisor and Consultant to a number of UK and overseas Government Departments and mental health organisations. Living in Scotland, Gregor is currently working with the newly established National Mental Health Development Unit.
Promotion of the conference The conference will be promoted throughout Australia and beyond by the distribution of hard copy conference flyers, registration brochures, posters, postcards and through a number of electronic resources such as the conference website (via www.vicserv.org.au), emails, online registration forms and relevant downloads. NOTE: Sponsors and exhibitors will be acknowledged via the conference website.
Who will attend? It is estimated that more than 1500 delegates will attend the conference over both days, representing CEOs, managers, bureaucrats, mental health workers in the field, researchers, policy makers, accommodation and employment services, academics, other allied professionals, consumers and carers to share knowledge and experience on current developments. It will provide an opportunity to showcase innovative work, latest research findings, innovation in service delivery, review current industry trends and identify and discuss emerging challenges for the future.

Additional personnel required to man the exhibitor stand must purchase an additional exhibitor pass at the minimum rate of $60.00 per day. Additional exhibition staff wishing to attend sessions must register as a delegate and pay the appropriate registration fee.

Public and Product Liability Insurance Australian regulations require all exhibitors to have adequate Public and Product Liability Insurance cover based on a limit of indemnity to the value of A$10,000.000 or above. This refers to damage or injury caused to third parties/visitors on, or in the vicinity of, an exhibition stand. Exhibitors are required to submit their Public and Product Liability Insurance Certificate along with their booking form. Your certificate can often be found in the accounts or finance department of your organisation. If you are unable to locate your organisation’s certificate please contact VICSERV. Completed and signed Booking Form must be forwarded to VICSERV. Upon receipt of a Booking Form, entitlements will be confirmed in writing by the Conference Manager and a tax invoice will be provided
