The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals in Fluvanna County is a nonprofit and private organization founded in 1989 in response to a brutal and senseless killing of a pet Labrador Retriever. Our goal is to rescue domestic animals from cruelty, neglect, and abandonment and to teach responsible pet ownership. Since we are a 501(c)(3) organization, 100% of your donation is tax deductible.

Becoming an FSPCA Sponsor is one way you can help us provide high-quality care to our animals. You can specify that your donation goes directly to caring for dogs or cats or for general shelter operations. The sponsorship levels on the right detail how your donation will be spent.

The FSPCA is focused on finding loving forever homes for its dogs and cats. While these abandoned animals are waiting for their new families, we take care of hundreds of dogs and cats each year at our shelter and in our foster homes. Through our pet sponsorship program, you can help us provide food, medical care, and housing for these animals until they are adopted.

You can also sponsor an animal in memory or honor of a loved one. It is a wonderful way to remember a beloved person or pet and is a great gift for an animal lover. We will notify the person you specify of your donation.

Sponsorship Levels $25 Level A gift of $25 will allow us to provide flea and tick protection to 2 dogs or litter for 5 cats for a month.

$50 Level A gift of $50 provides monthly heartworm prevention for 10 dogs or food for 5 per month.

$75 Level A gift of $75 will allow us to spay/ neuter a cat or provide food for 3 dogs for a month.

$100 Level A gift of $100 provides vaccinations for 5 cats per month or allows us to spay/neuter a dog.
