Your participation in today’s event will help change the lives of youth in your community, and across the country. Through alternative high schools established in partnership with public school districts and its post-secondary scholarship program, Simon Youth Foundation (SYF) makes education a reality for students who need a little extra help. Students like Jimmy, a scholarship recipient. Jimmy wrote “I knew I wanted more in life and I had dreams. I was told about the scholarship Simon Youth Foundation offered and I figured why not give it a shot. It turned out to be the wisest decision I have ever made. When I got news that I was a scholarship recipient I was overwhelmed with joy, because from that point on I knew that I had a helping hand.” Since 1998, SYF’s alterative schools have graduated 5,000 students, maintained an 90% success rate and it has awarded more than $5.9 million in scholarships.
