Dear Neighbor, For the last year, our office has been w~rking closely with the City of Los Angeles' Department of Recreation and Parks, Bureau of Engineering, and especially the local residents affiliated with the Silver Lake Dog Park Associations to come up with a design to improve the Silver Lake Dog Park. After extensive outreach and announcements early this year, about 30 people attended our January meeting to discuss the progress of these designs. We have identified funds to 1.) Add some trees and small plants along the perimeter of the park, and 2.) Expand the small dog park which entails moving the current fence about 70 feet into the Silver Lake Recreation Center. These plans were presented at the January community meeting by Los Angeles City's Bureau of Engineering. It was very well received by those who attended. We're excited to invite you to another opportunity to give input into this project. Please come to an open house on Saturday, April 25, 2009, to see the plans for improving the Silver Lake Dog Park. It will take place at Silver Lake Recreation Center from 3pm 4pm. Recreation and Parks and Bureau of Engineering will be there to answer any questions you may have. Should you have any questions or concerns, in the meantime, please feel free to contact my Silverlake Field Deputy, Ryan Carpio at 323-957-4500 or you may reach him at [email protected] .

Sincerely,

w*
