SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY This project is significant to the following: To the community, this SMS fire alert system gives warning immediately to multiple mobile numbers, so actions can be taken quickly. This helps to prevent major damages and losses created by a fire accident To nearby authorities/firefighters, this will help them respond quickly on unwanted happenings like fire incidents which may happen to buildings or establishments. To the home owners, this project will help keep their properties or buildings monitored. This serves as night owl since we all know owls don’t sleep during night. SMS based Fire Alarm system helps to monitor and alert during the occurrence of fire that occurs in night time, and as well as in day time. This project will aid them to prevent accidents mainly burning of their properties, it will also alert them of the accident happening for the purpose of immediate action and prevention of it in the near future. To students, this project may help them as a guide and reference in doing useful thesis for helping other people in increasing their own personal safety. To the Future Researchers, this research will be a useful reference for the researchers who would plan to make any related study precisely the standard underlying the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering program.

The figure above shows the progress of our project and the steps we took into consideration. We used the Input-Process-Output model. In the input, brainstorming and gathering data took place. We planned and decided the concept for our project. Simulation through the use of software comes next and procurement of the needed materials follow. Thereafter, designing and construction of the project comes next. The process includes pcb designing, etching , soldering, programming/coding. After that, testing and troubleshooting is done. Once the circuit is working, we start making our own chassis.
