Divine Word College of Calapan 1st Commencement Exercises (Senior High School) Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Graduation is always a day of rejoicing for it marks the conclusion of an educational journey and the commencement of another more uncertain and more difficult part of man’s quest for a better life and future. Today signifies the culmination of the two years of hard work and patience in the pursuit of knowledge that will enable the graduates to embrace the opportunities and take on challenges with clear vision and purpose. Welcome to the 1st Commencement Exercises of the Senior High School of Divine Word College of Calapan with the theme”K-12 Learners, Ready to Face Life’s Challenges.” (Processional) (Colors Entrance) Ladies and gentlemen, behold the entrance of colors. (Graduates and Parents) At this time, let us welcome the candidates for graduation for s.y 2017-2018 with their proud parents. This batch is composed of academic track with different strands namely; Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, Accountancy, Business Management, Humanities and Social Sciences and General Academic Strand) and technical vocational livelihood track major in Home Economics and Computer System Servicing). (Faculty and Staff) Let us also welcome the Divine Word College of Calapan Senior High School Faculty, Staff, and administrators. Please remain standing for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the Calapan City Hymn to be conducted by Mariah Mae. R. Babao with honors from the General Academic Strand. (National Anthem and Calapan City Hymn) Thank you Mariah, you may now take your seat. Welcome and Introduction To formally open this significant event and to give us the words of welcome, is our very own Hannah Mae S.A. Portus with high honors, from the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Strand. Thank you for that warmth welcome Hannah! (Loyalty Medalist) The foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty. Medals will now be awarded to the following students who have chosen DWCC as their second home for 12 years of Basic Education.

At this point may I cordially invite our dear President Rev. Fr. Crispin A. Cordero, SVD to award the medals for the Loyalty Medalists. (Presentation and Conferring of SHS Graduates) It is my pleasure and honor to turn the podium to our very dynamic principal, Dr. Fedeliza A. Nambatac for the Presentation of candidates for Graduation to be followed by the confirmation of graduates by the Basic Education Director and VP for Finance Rev. Fr. Timoteus Gampur, SVD. CONGRATULATIONS GRADUATES!!! (Special Awards) Let us now proceed with the giving of meritorious achievement awards. Medals will be awarded by Rev. Fr. Crispin Cordero, SVD, College President. ---List of Names--(Awarding of Medals to Honor Students) It is said that the quality of a person’s life is in direct proportion to his or her commitment to excellence regardless of the chosen field of endeavour.

May we request our dear Basic Education Director and VP for Finance, Rev. Fr. Timoteus Gampur, SVD to present the medals to the honor Graduates.

----List of with honors---May we request our dear parents to come on stage to award the medals to our honor students. Parents of the honor students are requested to come on stage. (Speech of Gratitude) Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” Let us find out how this young woman believe and follow her dreams. It is my distinct privilege to give the the woman of the hour, Maica V. Pacia, with high honors from the Accountancy, Business and Management Strand. Thank you Maica and Congratulations! (Awarding of Diplomas) Dear Graduates, the moment you have been waiting for has finally come. The fruit of hard work and discipline will finally be reaped. You will now be receiving the symbol of your accomplishment - your prized diploma. May we invite our dear President, Rev. Fr. Crispin A. Cordero, SVD to award the Diplomas to the graduates from STEM-A .

DWCC Hymn Please remain standing for the singing of the DWCC Hymn to be conducted by Daivy Joyce Garcia, with honors from the Technical Vocational Livelihood track Major in Home Economics.

Tomorrow, new challenges and opportunities await our graduates that will further test their mettle as improving individuals. As they continue with their journey, may they look back to this stage in their lives with fondness and pride. Ladies and gentlemen, this concludes the 1st commencement exercises. CONGRATULATIONS to all the Graduates!
