First Quarter Ending! You are doing it! The first quarter is coming to a close on October 2, 2009. Here are some things to think about as we close this quarter: • Work Progress should be at or above 25% by the end of this quarter. • October 5-9, 2009 is the Fall break (No school) • Face to Face meetings will be October 12-16 • Keep logging in your PE Logs for Quarter 1 • Organize your work sample for Face-to-Face meeting • Think of how you will reward yourself and child(ren) for successfully completing this quarter.

The Book Fair is coming back…. During Face-to-Face meeting week; October 12-16 we will have our book fair. Volunteers needed to help in three hour shifts each of the five days; 8-11,11-2, 2-5. If you would be willing to help, please contact Laurie Tueller at [email protected]

10/11 GRADE Personal Transition Portfolio October 19, 2009 is the next mandatory PTP session for grades 10/11. These sessions are from 8:00-9:00 am in room #1 at the Oahu Learning Center.

Learning Coach Training As discussed during the start of the year, learning coaches will have periodic training sessions throughout the year. The next set of training dates will be via classroom and elluminate. Please stay tuned for these next sessions. If there is a subject that you would like to learning more about during these sessions, please contact Libra Forde at [email protected] to share your desires.

Middle School/High School Spring Fling All interested middle and high school students and parents, please attend a meeting on Monday September 28 at 12:30 to discuss ideas for a Spring Dance. Please come with your ideas and suggestions. The meeting will be at the Learning Center. Room to be announced. We need to start planning now for this fun event in the Spring. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the PTSA at [email protected]

HARVEST PARTY!!! Reserve October 30th for this fun-filled family event!! Details are now being worked out and will be published soon!!!! Please contact [email protected] for any questions or idea’s.
