Kauai Testing—The testing/training on Kauai will be held in Princeville at the LC on July 29, 2009 please see email sent to Kauai Ohana, July 25, 2009 for times and RSVP guidance.

Oahu Testing—The testing/training on Oahu will be held in the LC July 29– Au-
Oahu Learning Center Class Schedule will be out on Wed.,

HTA-PTSA Beach Bash— Sunday, August 2 from 1:00—5:00pm at Bellows. Please remember to bring beverages and if possible a dish to share. Hamburgers and Hotdogs will be available. Contact [email protected] for more details
Big Island Astronomy: Keck Observatory is currently accepting applications for students ages 8-12 to join for three days of celestial education at W. M. Keck Observatory. The course offers hands-on astronomy activities and solar and evening observing. Dates: August 3, 5, 7 Time: 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Enrollment is limited. Materials fee $50. •

Every student participates in PE. The requirement varies per grade level but is between 30 and 60 minutes a day for school days. More information about what counts as PE and the PE Logs will be provided by your student’s teacher. As a school, HTA is required to have students participate in the state mandated HSA testing program for science, writing, reading and math. The Learning Coach is responsible for ensuring the student participates in all assessments. You can visit: http://www.alohahsa.org/ for more information on HSA testing.
