SENIOR CITIZENS’ FORUM HI-TECH CITY AREA, KOTTAGUDA (REGD. NO: 1877/ Oct.2007) Date 2-10-2008 MINUTES OF THE MEETING dated 1-10-2008 Dear Members, The following are the Minutes of the Meeting held on 1st October 2008.



Members of our forum met on 1st October, 2008 to celebrate WORLD SENIOR CITIZEN’S DAY at Sri Satya Sai Seva Old Age Home. Prof. Subba Rao, K. , President of our Forum, has Presided over the function. Dr. P. Vishnu, Founder President was honored. The President praised the excellent services rendered by him to our August Body. He was honored with a floral bouquet and presented with a shawl. Dr. P. Vishnu, thanked the Forum for honoring him and promised hat he will always strive for the benefit of the Forum.



Smt. SanthaKumari, Founder & Organizer of the Sri Satya Sai Seva Old Age Home who is serving the elder destitute from her own resources was honored with handing over a floral bouquet and presented with a shawl. Smt. SanthaKumari in brief narrated the sequence of events of her life and hurdles that are being faced in maintaining the old age home with out Govt. assistance. She stressed that she will always work for the destitute with what ever limited resources she had. She thanked the Forum for honoring her.



President concluded with a request every member to strive for enrolling new members so as to enable this Forum bounce with activity. Sequel to the above appeal, various suggestions were made by the Members for the ways and means to increase the membership. Finally it was agreed up on to distribute pamphlets and Shri. Suryanarayna and Prof. K. Subbarao have agreed to

take the responsibility of distribution. C . RamaMohna agreed to sponsor

the necessary pamphlets.



On this occasion our Member Shri. MK Rao (& Family) donated Rs. 500+ /= to Sri Satya Sai Seva Old Age Home. It is also heartening to note that one of our Member Shri. Suryanarayna spontaneously declared that he will donate Rs. 500/- every month



In another discussion regarding hurdles faced for Old Age Pension of the inmates of Sri Satya Sai Seva Old Age Home, Shri. BVLS Sarma volunteered to follow up the issue with the concerned authorities.



To a suggestion for a get together of all Members with their families, all the members welcomed and unanimously agreed and the responsibility of organizing a Picnic was entrusted to Shri M.K. Rao C.Rama Mohana Secretary
