‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ ُ‫ وَرَزَقهُ مِنْ حَيث‬، ‫ َومِنْ كُلّ هَمّ فَرَجا‬، ‫مَنْ َل ِزمَ ال ْسِت ْغفَارَ َجعَلَ الُ لَهُ مِنْ كُلّ ضِيقٍ مَخْرَجا‬ ‫رواه أبو داود‬

. ُ‫ل يَ ْحتَ ِسب‬

"One who constantly seeks forgiveness (from Allah), Allah will create for him a way out of every distress and a relief from every anxiety, and will provide sustenance for him from where he expects not." ‫رواه البخاري‬

. ً‫وال إنّي َل ْسَتغْفِرُ ال وَأتُوبُ إَِليْه ف الَيوْمِ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ َسبْعِيَ مَ ّرة‬

"By Allah, I seek Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him more than seventy times a day."

ٌ‫ َومَا ُأعْطِيَ أَحَد‬. ُ‫صبّ ْرهُ ال‬ َ ‫صبّرْ ُي‬ َ َ‫ َومَنْ َيت‬، ُ‫ستَغْنِ ُيغْنِهِ ال‬ ْ َ‫ َومَنْ ي‬، ُ‫سَت ْعفِفْ ُيعِفهُ ال‬ ْ َ‫َومَنْ ي‬ ‫ق عليه‬ ّ ‫عَطَاءً َخيْرا وَأوْسَعَ مِنَ ال‬ ٌ َ‫متَّف‬ ُ . ‫صبْر‬

Whosoever would be chaste and modest; Allah will keep him chaste and modest and whosoever would seek self-sufficiency, Allah will make him selfsufficient; and whosoever would be patient, Allah will grant him patience, and no one is granted a gift better and more comprehensive than patience".

َ‫ إنْ أَصَابَتْهُ سَرّاءُ َشكَر‬: ‫عَجَبا لمْرِ الُؤمنِ إنّ أمْ َرهُ كُلّهُ لَهُ خيٌ ولَيسَ ذلِكَ لَ َحدٍ إل لل ُم ْؤمِن‬ ‫ رواه مسلم‬. ُ‫خيْرا لَه‬ َ َ‫صبَرَ فَكان‬ َ ُ‫ وإنْ أصَاَبتْهُ ضرَاء‬، ُ‫فَكانَ خَيا لَه‬

"How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If he gets prosperous, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is better for him".

‫ َحتّى‬، ّ‫ وَل غَم‬، ً‫ وَل أ َذى‬، ٍ‫ وَل حَ َزن‬، ّ‫ وَل هَم‬،ٍ‫صب‬ َ َ‫ وَل و‬، ٍ‫مَا يُصيبُ الُسِْلمَ مِنْ َنصَب‬ َ ‫الشّو َكةُ يُشَا ُكهَا إل‬ ِ‫متَّفَقٌ ع َلَيه‬ ُ .ُ‫كفّرَ الُ ِبهَا مِنْ خَطَاياه‬ "Never a believer is stricken with a discomfort, an illness, an anxiety, a grief or mental worry or even the pricking of a thorn but Allah will expiate his sins on account of his patience".

ٌ‫مَا يَزَالُ الَبلَءُ بالُؤمِنِ وَا ُل ْؤمَِنةِ ف نفسِهِ ووَلَ ِدهِ َومَالِهِ َحتّى يَ ْلقَى ال َتعَالَى َومَا عَلَيهِ خَطِيَئة‬ ‫رواه الترمذي‬ "A Muslim, male or female, continues to remain under trial in respect of his life, property and offspring until he faces Allah, the Exalted, with no sin record".

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ ْ‫ وإِذَا ا ْسَتعَْنتَ فَا ْسَتعِن‬، ‫ إِذَا سَأْلتَ فَاسأَلِ ال‬، َ‫ ا ْحفَظِ الَ تَجِ ْد ُه تُجَاهَك‬، َ‫حفَظْك‬ ْ َ‫ل ي‬ َ ‫ا ْحفَظِ ا‬ ُ‫ أ ّن ا ُلمّةَ َلوْ ا ْجتَ َم َعتْ عَلَى أنْ َيْن َفعُوكَ بِشَيءٍ لَ ْم َيْن َفعُوكَ إل بِشَيءٍ قَدْ َكتَبهُ ال‬: ْ‫ وَاعْلَم‬. ِ‫بال‬ ِ‫ رُِف َعت‬، َ‫ل عََليْك‬ ُ ‫ َوإِن اجتَ َمعُوا عَلَى أ ْن يَضُرّو َك بِشَيءٍ َل ْم يَضُرّو َك إل بِشَيءٍ قَدْ َكَتبَهُ ا‬، َ‫لَك‬ ُ‫ت الصّحف‬ ِ ‫لمُ وَ َج ّف‬ َ ‫الَ ْق‬ ‫رواه الترمذي‬ Be watchful of Allah (Commandments of Allah), He will preserve you. Safeguard His Rights, He will be ever with you. If you beg, beg of Him Alone; and if you need assistance, supplicate to Allah Alone for help. And remember that if all the people gather to benefit you, they will not be able to benefit you except that which Allah had foreordained (for you); and if all of them gather to do harm to you, they will not be able to afflict you with anything other than that which Allah had pre-destined against you. The pens had been lifted and the ink had dried up"

ُ‫ وَإنْ أَصَابَكَ شَيءٌ فَل تَقُلْ َل ْو أنّي َفعَ ْلت‬. ْ‫ل وَل َتعْجَز‬ ِ ‫ واسَْتعِ ْن بِا‬، ‫ك‬ َ ُ‫ا ْح ِرصْ عَلَى مَا َينْ َفع‬ ‫ رواه‬.ِ‫ح عَمَلَ الشّيطَان‬ ُ َ‫ َومَا شَاءَ فَعلَ ؛ فإنّ َلوْ َت ْفت‬، ِ‫ قَدرُ اللّه‬: ْ‫ وََلكِنْ قُل‬، ‫كَانَ كَذَا وَكَذَا‬ ‫مسلم‬ Adhere to that which is beneficial for you. Keep asking Allah for help and do not refrain from it. If you are afflicted in any way, do not say: 'If I had taken this or that step, it would have resulted into such and such,' but say only: 'Allah so determined and did as He willed.' The word 'if' opens the gates of satanic thoughts".

َ‫ وإنّ الرّجُلَ َليَص ُدقُ َحتّى يُ ْكَتبَ ِعنْد‬، ِ‫لّنة‬ َ ‫ وإنّ الب يَهدِي إِلَى ا‬، ّ‫إنّ الصّدقَ َيهْدِي إِلَى الب‬ َ‫ َوِإنّ الرّجُل‬، ِ‫ َوإِنّ الفُجُورَ يَهدِي إِلَى النّار‬، ِ‫ َوِإنّ الكَذِبَ َيهْدِي إِلَى الفُجُور‬. ‫صدّيقا‬ ِ ِ‫ال‬ ِ‫ ُمتّ َفقٌ َعلَيه‬. ‫حتّى يُكتَبَ عِنْدَ ال كَذّابا‬ َ ُ‫َلَيكْذِب‬ "Truth leads to piety and piety leads to paradise. A man persists in speaking the truth till he is enrolled with Allah as a truthful. Falsehood leads to vice and vice leads to the Fire (Hell), and a person persists on telling lies until he is enrolled as a liar". ‫رواه الترمذي‬

. ٌ‫ وَالكَذِبَ رِيَبة‬، ٌ‫َدعْ مَا يَرِيبُكَ إِلَى مَا ل يَرِيبُكَ ؛ فإنّ الصّدقَ طُمَأنِيَنة‬

"Give up what is doubtful to you for that which is not doubtful; for truth is peace of mind and falsehood is doubt". ِ‫متفق َعلَْيه‬

. ِ‫ فإنّ الظّنّ أكْذَبُ الَدِيث‬، ّ‫إيّاكُمْ والظّن‬

Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales." ‫ رواه الترمذي وغيُره‬. ‫ حديث حسن‬.

ِ‫مِنْ حُسْ ِن إسْل ِم الَرْ ِء تَرْكُ ُه مَا ل َيعْنِيه‬

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ "It is from the excellence of (a believer's) Islam that he should shun that which is of no concern to him".

ٍ‫اّتقُوا النّارَ وََلوْ بِشِقّ تَ ْم َرةٍ فَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ َفبِكَِل َمةٍ طَّيَبة‬

ِ‫ متفقٌ َعلَْيه‬.

"Guard yourselves against the Fire (of Hell) even if it be only with half a date-fruit (given in charity); and if you cannot afford even that, you should at least say a good word." ‫ رواه مسلم‬.

ٍ‫ وََلوْ أنْ تَ ْلقَى أخَاكَ بوَجْهٍ طَلْيق‬، ‫ح ِق َرنّ مِنَ الْ َمعْرُوفِ َشيْئا‬ ْ َ‫ل ت‬

"Do not disdain a good deed, (no matter how small it may seem) even if it is your meeting with your (Muslim) brother with a cheerful face." ِ‫متفقٌ َعلَيْه‬

. ْ‫ َف ْلَيقُلْ َخيْرا َأوْ ِليَصْ ُمت‬، ِ‫َومَنْ كَانَ ُيؤْمِنُ بِالِ وَاليَومِ الخِر‬

“..he who believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him speak good or remain silent."

ّ‫حل‬ ِ َ‫ وَل ي‬، ‫ وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ الِ إ ْخوَانا‬، ‫ وَل َتقَا َطعُوا‬، ‫ وَل تَدَابَرُوا‬، ‫ وَل تَحَا َسدُوا‬، ‫ل َتبَاغَضُوا‬ ِ‫ متفق َعلَْيه‬. ٍ‫وقَ َثلَث‬ ْ ‫جرَ أخَاهُ َف‬ ُ ْ‫سلِمٍ أنْ َيه‬ ْ ُ‫لِم‬ "Do not harbour grudge against one another, nor jealousy, nor enmity; and do not show your backs to one another; and become as fellow brothers and slaves of Allah. It is not lawful for a Muslim to avoid speaking with his brother beyond three days."

َ‫سنَاتِ كَمَا تَأكُلُ النّارُ الَطَب‬ َ َ‫إيّاكُمْ وَالَسَدَ ؛ فَإنّ الَسَدَ يَأكُلُ ال‬ ‫رواه َأبُو داود‬ "Beware of envy because envy consumes (destroys) the virtues just as the fire consumes the firewood," or he said "grass."

، َ‫سعْكَ َبْيتُك‬ َ َ‫ وَْلي‬، َ‫ َأمْسِكْ عََليْكَ لِسَانَك‬: َ‫ يَا رسولَ الِ مَا الّنجَاةُ ؟ قَال‬: ُ‫ ُقلْت‬: َ‫وعن عقبة بن عامرٍ قَال‬ ‫ رواه الترمذي‬. َ‫وابْكِ عَلَى خَطِيَئتِك‬ 'Uqbah bin 'Amir (May Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (PBUH), "How can salvation be achieved?" He replied, "Control your tongue, keep to your house, and weep over your sins." ِ‫مُتّ َفقٌ َعلَيه‬

. ِ‫لنّ ُة بِالَكَا ِره‬ َ ‫تا‬ ِ َ‫جب‬ ِ ‫ وَ ُح‬، ِ‫شهَوات‬ ّ ‫جَبتِ النّارُ بال‬ ِ ُ‫ح‬

"The (Hell) Fire is surrounded with all kinds of desires and passions, while Jannah is surrounded with adversities."

‫ رواه َأبُو داود وغيه‬، ‫حديث حسن‬

. ُ‫كُلّ أمْرٍ ذِي بَالٍ ل ُيبْدأُ فِيهِ بِالَمْدُ لِ َف ُهوَ أقْطَع‬

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ "Any matter of importance which is not begun with Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah) remains defective."

- ُ‫ َأوْ تَ ْمل‬- ‫ َو ُسبْحَانَ ال والَمدُ ل تَملن‬، َ‫ والَمدُ ل تَ ْملُ اليزَان‬، ‫ال ّطهُو ُر شَطْرُ الِيان‬ ٌ‫ والقُرْآنُ حُجة‬، ٌ‫ والصّبْرُ ضِياء‬، ٌ‫ والصّدق ُة بُرهَان‬، ‫ والصّلةُ نُو ٌر‬،ِ‫مَا بَيَ السّماوات وَالَ ْرض‬ ‫ رواه مسلم‬.

‫ كُ ّل النّاسِ َيغْدُو َفبَائ ٌع نَفسَهُ َف ُمعِْت ُقهَا َأوْ مُوِبقُها‬. َ‫لَكَ َأ ْو عََليْك‬

"Wudu' is half of Salah; the utterance of (Al-hamdu lillah - all praise belongs to Allah) fills the Scales of good actions; the utterance of (Subhan Allah wa Alhamdu lillah) (Allah is far removed from every imperfection and all praise belongs to Allah) fills the space between the heavens and the earth, and Salat (prayer) is light; and charity is the proof of Faith; and endurance is light, and the Qur'an is a plea in your favour or against you. Every person departs; he either ransoms it or puts it into perdition". .

َّ ‫ أ‬: َ‫وعن أبي هريرة‬ َ ‫جل ً قَا‬ ْ‫ضب‬ َ ْ‫ ل َتغ‬: ‫ قَاَل‬، ً ‫ضبْ فََردَّد َ ِمرارا‬ َ ْ‫ ل َتغ‬: ‫ قَاَل‬. ‫صني‬ ِ ‫ أو‬: ‫ل للنبي‬ ُ ‫ن َر‬

‫رواه البخاري‬ Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: A man asked the Prophet (PBUH) for an advice and he (PBUH) said, "Do not get angry". The man repeated that several times and he replied, "Do not get angry". ‫رواه مسلم‬

. ْ‫ وَلَكن ينْظُرُ إل قُلُوبِكم‬، ْ‫صوَرِكم‬ ُ ‫ ول إِل‬، ْ‫إنّ ال ل ينْظُرُ إِل أجْسَا ِمكُم‬

"Allah does not look at your figures, nor at your attire but He looks at your hearts and accomplishments".

، ً‫صَلةُ الرّجلِ ف جَا َعةٍ تَزيدُ عَلَى صَلتهِ ف بيتهِ وصلته فِي سُوقِهِ بضْعا وعِشرِينَ دَرَ َجة‬ ُ‫ ل يُرِيد‬، ُ‫ ل َينْهَ ُزهُ إِل الصَلة‬، َ‫جد‬ ِ ْ‫ ثُمّ َأتَى الَس‬، َ‫َوذَلِكَ أنّ أَح َدهُمْ إِذَا َتوَضّأَ َفأَحْسَنَ الوُضوء‬ َ‫جد‬ ِ ْ‫ وَحُطّ عَنْهُ با خَطِيَئةٌ َحتّى يَدْخُلَ الَس‬، ٌ‫ لَمْ يَخْطُ خُ ْط َوةً إِل رُِفعَ لَهُ ِبهَا دَر َجة‬: َ‫إل الصّلة‬ ‫ وَالَلئِ َكةُ ُيصَلّونَ عَلَى‬، ُ‫حبِسُه‬ ْ َ‫ فإِذا دَخَلَ الَسْجِدَ كَانَ ف الصّلةِ مَا كَانَتِ الصّلةُ هِي ت‬، ّ‫ الّلهُم‬، ُ‫ الّلهُمّ ا ْغفِرْ لَه‬، ُ‫ الّلهُمّ ارْحَمْه‬: َ‫ َيقُولُون‬، ِ‫صلّى فِيه‬ َ ‫أَ َحدِكُمْ مَا دَامَ ف مَجْلِسِهِ الّذِي‬ ‫ُمتّ َفقٌ عليه‬

. ِ‫حدِثْ فِيه‬ ْ ُ‫ مَا لَمْ ي‬، ‫ مَا لَم ُيؤْذِ فيه‬، ِ‫ُتبْ عَلَيه‬

"The reward for Salat performed by a person in congregation is more than 20 times greater than that of the Salat performed in one's house or shop. When one performs Wudu' perfectly and then proceeds to the mosque with the sole intention of performing Salat, then for every step he takes towards the mosque, he is upgraded one degree in reward and one of his sins is eliminated until he enters the mosque, and when he enters the mosque, he is considered as performing Salat as long as it is the Salat which prevents him (from leaving the mosque); and the angels keep on supplicating Allah for him as long as he remains in his place of prayer. They say: 'O

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ Allah! have mercy on him; O Allah! forgive his sins; O Allah! accept his repentance'. This will carry on as long as he does not pass wind"

َ‫سَنةٍ َفلَمْ َيعْمَ ْلهَا َكَتبَها الُ َتبَا َرك‬ َ َ‫ َفمَنْ هَمّ ب‬، َ‫سيّئَاتِ ثُمّ َبيّنَ ذلِك‬ ّ ‫سنَاتِ وال‬ َ َ‫إنّ الَ َكَتبَ ال‬ ٍ‫ضعْف‬ ِ ِ‫ وَإنْ هَمّ بَا َفعَمَِلهَا َكَتَبهَا الُ عَشْرَ حَسَناتٍ إِل َسبْع مئة‬، ً‫سَنةً كامَِلة‬ َ َ‫وَتعَال ِعنْ َدهُ ح‬ ‫ وَإنْ هَمّ ِبهَا‬، ً‫سَنةً كَامِلة‬ َ َ‫سيَّئةٍ َفلَمْ َيعْمَ ْلهَا َكَتَبهَا الُ ِعنْ َدهُ ح‬ َ ِ‫ وإنْ هَمّ ب‬، ٍ‫إِل أَضعَافٍ كَثية‬

ِ‫ ُمتّ َفقٌ عليه‬. ً‫َفعَ ِمَلهَا َكتََبهَا الُ َسيَّئةً وَاحِ َدة‬

"Verily, Allah has ordered that the good and the bad deeds be written down. Then He explained it clearly. He who intends to do a good deed but he does not do it, then Allah records it for him as a full good deed, but if he carries out his intention, then Allah the Exalted, writes it down for him as from ten to seven hundred folds, and even more. But if he intends to do an evil act and has not done it, then Allah writes it down with Him as a full good deed, but if he intends it and has done it, Allah writes it down as one bad deed"

‫ وَرَزَقنِيهِ مِنْ َغيْرِ َحوْلٍ ِمنّي وَل‬، ‫ الَمْدُ لِ الّذِي أ ْطعَ َمنِي هَذَا الطعام‬: ‫ فَقال‬،‫مَنْ أ َكلَ َطعَامَا‬ ‫رواه أَبُو داود والترمذي‬

. ِ‫ ُغفِرَ لَهُ مَا َتقَ ّدمَ مِنْ َذْنبِه‬، ٍ‫ُق ّوة‬

"He who has taken food and says at the end: All praise is due to Allah Who has given me food to eat and provided it without any endeavour on my part or any power),' all his past sins will be forgiven."

، ْ‫ َوسَمّوا إِذَا أْنتُمْ شَ ِرْبتُم‬، َ‫ وََلكِنِ اشْ َربُوا َمْثنَى َوثُلَث‬، ِ‫ل تَشْ َربُوا وَاحِدا كَشُرْبِ الَبعِي‬ ‫ رواه الترمذي‬. ْ‫عتُم‬ ْ ‫وَاحْ َمدُوا إِذَا أْنتُمْ رََف‬ "Do not drink in one gulp like a camel, but in two or three (gulps). Mention the Name of Allah (i.e., say Bismillah) when you start drinking and praise Him (i.e., say Alhamdu lillah) after you have finished (drinking)."

َ‫ وَ ُر ْؤيَا الْ ُم ْؤمِنِ ُجزْءٌ مِنْ ِسّتةٍ وَأ ْرَبعِيَ ُجزْءا مِن‬، ُ‫إِذَا ا ْقتَرَبَ ال ّزمَانُ لَمْ تَكَدْ رُؤيَا ا ُل ْؤمِنِ تَكْذِب‬ ِ‫متفقٌ َعلَْيه‬

. ِ‫الّنبُ ّوة‬

"When the time draws near (i.e., near the end of the world), the dream of a believer can hardly be false; and the dream of a believer represents one part from forty-six parts of Prophethood."

ٍ‫ َأوْ وَلَدٍ صَالِح‬، ِ‫ َأوْ عِ ْلمٍ ُينَْتفَعُ بِه‬، ٍ‫ صَدََقةٍ جَا ِرَية‬: ٍ‫إِذَا مَاتَ ابْنُ آ َدمَ اْنقَطَعَ عَ َملُهُ إِل مِنْ ثَلث‬ ‫رواه مسلم‬

. ُ‫يَ ْدعُو لَه‬

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ "When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous decendant who prays for him (for the deceased)."

‫رواه‬

.‫ َأوْ ُمتَعَلّما‬، ‫ َوعَالِما‬، ُ‫ َومَا وَاله‬، ‫ إِل ذِكْرَ ال َتعَالَى‬، ‫ مَ ْلعُونٌ مَا فِيهَا‬، ٌ‫ال ّدْنيَا مَ ْلعُوَنة‬ ‫الترمذي‬

"The world, with all that it contains, is accursed except for the remembrance of Allah that which pleases Allah; and the scholars and seekers of knowledge."

‫ َحتّى إِذَا‬، ِ‫ وَلكِنْ َيقِْبضُ العِ ْلمَ ِبقَْبضِ العَُلمَاء‬، ِ‫إنّ الَ ل َي ْقبِضُ العِلْمَ اْنتِزَاعا َينْتَزعهُ مِنَ النّاس‬ ِ‫ متفقٌ َعلَْيه‬.‫ َفضَلّوا وَأضَلّوا‬، ٍ‫سئِلُوا فَأفْتوا ِبغَيْرِ عِلْم‬ ُ َ‫ ف‬، ً‫ اتّخَذَ النّاسُ ُرؤُوسا ُجهّال‬، ‫لَمْ ُيبْقِ عَالِما‬ "Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He takes it away by taking away (the lives of) the religious scholars till none of the scholars stays alive. Then the people will take ignorant ones as their leaders, who, when asked to deliver religious verdicts, will issue them without knowledge, the result being that they will go astray and will lead others astray."

ّ‫ إن‬: ٌ‫لنّةَ مَنْ كَانَ فِي َقلِْبهِ مِْثقَالُ َذ ّرةٍ مِنْ ِكْبرٍ ! َفقَالَ رَ ُجل‬ َ ‫ ل يَدْخُلُ ا‬: َ‫وعن ابن مسعودٍ عن النب قَال‬

: ُ‫ الكِبْر‬، َ‫حبّ الَمَال‬ ِ ُ‫ إنّ الَ جَمِيلٌ ي‬: َ‫ َفقَال‬، ً‫ وََن ْعُلهُ حَسَنة‬، ‫الرّجُلَ يُ ِحبّ أَنْ يَكُونَ َثوُْبهُ حَسَنا‬ ‫ رواه مسلم‬. ِ‫وغَمْطُ النّاس‬ َ ، ّ‫بَ َطرُ الَق‬ Ibn Mas'ud (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (PBUH) said, "The haughty, even with pride equal to a mustard seed in his heart, will not enter Jannah." A man enquired: "What about that a person likes fine dress and fine shoes?" He said: "Allah is Beautiful and likes beauty. Pride amounts to disclaiming truth out of selfesteem, and despising people ." ‫رواه مسلم‬

. َ‫ َفأَكْثِرُوا ال ّدعَاء‬، ٌ‫جد‬ ِ ‫أقْرَبُ مَا َيكُونُ ال َعبْدُ مِنْ َربّهِ َو ُهوَ سَا‬

"A slave becomes nearest to his Rubb when he is in prostration. So increase supplications while prostrating."

، ِ‫ ِلَي ْقضِي َفرِيضَةً مِنْ فَرَاِئضِ اللّه‬، ِ‫ ثُمّ َمضَى إل َبيْتٍ مِنْ ُبيُوتِ اللّه‬، ِ‫مَنْ تَ َطهّرَ ف َبْيتِه‬ ‫رواه مسلم‬

. ً‫ وَالُ ْخرَى تَرْفَعُ دَ َر َجة‬، ً‫ إحْدَاهَا تَحُطّ خَطِيَئة‬، ُ‫كَاَنتْ خُطُواتُه‬

"He who purifies (performs Wudu') himself in his house and then walks to one of the houses of Allah (mosque) for performing an obligatory Salat, one step of his will wipe out his sins and another step will elevate his rank (in Jannah)."

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ ّ‫ رواه أبُو دَا ُودَ وَالتّر ِمذِي‬.

ِ‫بَشّرُوا الَشّائِيَ ف الظَّلمِ إل الَسَا ِجدِ بِالنّورِ التّامّ َيوْمَ ال ِقيَا َمة‬

"Convey glad tidings to those who walk to the mosque in the darkness. For they will be given full light on the Day of Resurrection."

ُ‫ ل يَمَنعُهُ أنْ يَنقَِلبَ إل أهلِهِ إل الصّلة‬، ُ‫حبِسُه‬ ْ َ‫لةُ ت‬ َ‫ص‬ ّ ‫لةٍ مَا دَامَتِ ال‬ َ‫ص‬ َ ‫ل يَزَالُ أحَدُكُمْ ف‬ ِ‫متفقٌ َعَليْه‬ "Everyone among you will be deemed to be occupied in Salat (prayer) constantly so long as Salat (the prayer) detains him (from worldly concerns), and nothing prevents him from returning to his family but Salat."

‫رواه مسلم‬

ِ‫صحَابِه‬ ْ َ‫اقْ َرؤُوا القُرْآنَ ؛ فَإنّهُ يَأتِي َي ْومَ ال ِقيَا َمةِ َشفِيعا ل‬

"Read the Qur'an, for it will come as an intercessor for its reciters on the Day of Resurrection."

‫رواه البخاري‬

. ُ‫َخيْرُكُمْ مَنْ َتعَلّمَ اْلقُرْآنَ َوعَلّمَه‬

"The best amongst you is the one who learns the Qur'an and teaches it."

‫رواه مسلم‬

. َ‫إنّ الَ يَرَْفعُ ِبهَذَا الكِتَابِ أ ْقوَاما َوَيضَعُ بِهِ آخرِين‬

"Verily, Allah elevates some people with this Qur'an and abases others."

َُ‫ َوَيتْوب‬، ُ‫ وَلَ ْن يَ ْملَ فَاهُ إل التّرَاب‬، ِ‫ب أنْ يكُونَ لَ ُه وَادِيان‬ ّ ‫ْو أنّ لبنِ آ َدمَ وَادِيا مِنْ َذهَبٍ أ َح‬ ‫متَّفَقٌ عليه‬ ْ َ‫ل عَلَى م‬ ُ‫ا‬ ُ . َ‫ن تَاب‬ If the son of Adam has a valley of gold he will desire for two. And never his mouth will be filled but with earth. And Allah forgives who asks for forgiveness.

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬

‫رواه الترمذي‬

. ‫ل يَزالُ لِسَانُكَ رَطبا مِنْ ذِكْرِ ال تعال‬

"Keep your tongue wet with the remembrance of Allah."

‫ َومَا يَزَا ُل َعبْدِي يَتَقرّبُ إَل ّي‬، ِ‫ضتُ عَلَيه‬ ْ ‫َومَا َتقَرّبَ إَِليّ َعبْدي بشَيءٍ أَ َحبّ إَليّ ِممّا افْتَ َر‬ ُ‫ ويَ َده‬، ِ‫ َوبَصَ َر ُه الّذِي ُيبْصِرُ بِه‬، ِ‫ فَإذَا أَحبَبتُهُ ُكْنتُ سَمعَهُ الّذِي يَسْ َم ُع بِه‬، ُ‫بالنّوافِلِ َحتّى أ ِحبّه‬ . ُ‫ذنّه‬ َ ‫ وََلئِ ِن اسَْتعَا َذنِي ُلعِي‬، ُ‫ وَإ ْن َسأَلَن ُلعْ ِطيَنّه‬، ‫ وَرِجْلَهُ الّتِي يَمْشي ِبهَا‬، ‫ش ِبهَا‬ ُ ‫الّت َيبْ ِط‬ ‫رواه البخاري‬ And the most beloved thing with which My slave comes nearer to Me is what I have enjoined upon him; and My slave keeps on coming closer to Me through performing Nawafil (prayer or doing extra deeds besides what is obligatory) till I love him. When I love him I become his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes, and his leg with which he walks; and if he asks (something) from Me, I give him, and if he asks My Protection (refuge), I protect him".

، ْ‫ وأزْكَاهَا عِنْدَ مَلِي ِككُم‬، ْ‫خيْرِ أعْمالِكُم‬ َ ِ‫ أل ُأَنبُّئكُمْ ب‬: ‫ قَالَ رسُولُ ال‬: ‫وعن أَب الدرداءِ قال‬ ‫ وَ َخْيرٍ َلكُمْ مِنْ أن تَ ْلقَوا‬، ِ‫ضة‬ ّ ‫ وَخَيٍ َلكُمْ مِنْ إنْفَاقِ ال ّذهَبِ وال ِف‬، ْ‫وأرَْف ِعهَا ف دَرَجَاِتكُم‬ ‫رواه الترمذي‬

.‫ ذِكر ال َتعَالَى‬: َ‫ قَال‬، ‫ بَلَى‬: ‫عَ ُدوّكُمْ َفَتضْ ِربُوا أ ْعنَاَقهُمْ َوَيضْ ِربُوا أعْنَاَقكُمْ ؟ قَالَوا‬

Abud-Darda (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Shall I not inform you of the best of your actions which are the purest to your Rubb, which exalt you to the high ranks, which are more efficacious than spending gold and silver (in charity), and better for you than you should encounter your enemies whom you will smite their necks and they will smite your necks?" They said, "Certainly." He (PBUH) said, "Remembrance of Allah the Exalted."

ِ‫لمَ ِب َغيْرِ ذِكْرِ الِ ؛ فَإنّ َكثْ َرةَ ال َكلَم‬ َ ‫ ل ُت ْكثِرُوا ال َك‬: ‫ قَالَ رسول ال‬: َ‫وعن ابن عمر رضي ال عنهما قَال‬ ‫ رواه الترمذي‬. ‫وةٌ لِلقَ ْلبِ ! وإنّ أبْعَدَ النّاسِ مِنَ الِ تعال القَ ْلبُ القَاسِي‬ َ‫س‬ ْ َ‫ِب َغيْرِ ذِكْرِ الِ َتعَالَى ق‬ Ibn 'Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said, "Do not indulge in excessive talk except when remembering Allah. Excessive talking without the Remembrance of Allah hardens the heart; and those who are the farthest from Allah are those whose hearts are hard." ‫رواه البخاري‬

. ِ‫ليّ وَالَّيت‬ َ ‫َمثَلُ الّذِي يَذْكُرُ َربّهُ وَالّذِي ل يَذْ ُك ُرهُ َمثَلُ ا‬

"The similitude of one who remembers his Rubb and one who does not remember Him, is like that of the living and the dead."

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ ُ‫ ذَكَ ْرتُه‬، ِ‫ فإنْ ذَ َك َرنِي ف َنفْسِه‬، ‫ َوَأنَا َمعَهُ إِذَا ذَكَ َرنِي‬، ‫ أنا ِعنْدَ ظَنّ َعبْدِي بِي‬: ‫يقول ال َتعَالَى‬ ِ‫ متفق َعلَيْه‬.ْ‫م ْنهُم‬ ِ ٍ‫ وإنْ ذَكَرنِي ف ملٍ ذَكرتُهُ ف َملٍ َخيْر‬، ‫ف َنفْسِي‬ "Allah the Exalted says: 'I am as my slave expects me to be, and I am with him when he remembers Me. If he remembers Me inwardly, I will remember him inwardly, and if he remembers Me in an assembly, I will remember him in a better assembly (i.e., in the assembly of angels)."

ِ‫ سُبْحَانَ ال‬: ِ‫ َحبِيبَتَانِ إِلَى الرّحْمن‬، ِ‫ َثقِيَلتَانِ فِي الِيزَان‬، ِ‫كَِل َمتَانِ َخفِي َفتَانِ عَلَى اللّسَان‬ ِ‫متفقٌ َعلَْيه‬

. ِ‫ سُبْحَانَ الِ العظيم‬، ِ‫َوبِحَ ْم ِده‬

ْ‫ أَ َحبّ إلَيّ مِمّا طََلعَت‬، ُ‫ وَالُ أكَْبر‬، ُ‫ وَل إلهَ إِل ال‬، ِ‫ وَالَ ْمدُ ل‬، ِ‫ سُبْحَانَ ال‬: َ‫َلنْ أَقُول‬ ‫رواه مسلم‬ ‫رواه مسلم‬

. ُ‫عََليْهِ الشّ ْمس‬

. ِ‫ سُبْحَانَ الِ َوبِحَ ْم ِده‬: ِ‫كلَمِ إِلَى ال‬ َ ‫لمِ إِلَى الِ ؟ إنّ أَ َحبّ ال‬ َ ‫أل أُ ْخبِ ُركَ ِبأَ َحبّ ال َك‬

"Shall I tell you the expression that is most loved by Allah?" It is 'Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi' (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)'." ‫رواه مسلم‬

.‫ وَارْ ُزقْنِي‬، ‫ وَا ْرحَمْنِي وَاهْ ِدنِي‬، ‫ ال ّل ُهمّ ا ْغ ِفرْ لِي‬: ْ‫قُل‬

(O Allah! Grant me pardon, have mercy upon me, direct me to righteousness and provide me subsistence)

‫ ل إلهَ إِل الُ َوحْ َدهُ ل‬: َ‫ قَال‬، َ‫وعن الغية بن شعبة أنّ رسول ال كَانَ ِإذَا َفرَغَ مِنَ الصّ َلةِ وَ َسلّم‬ ، َ‫ ال ّل ُهمّ ل مَانِعَ لِمَا أَعْطَ ْيت‬، ٌ‫ َوهُوَ عَلَى ُكلّ شَيْءٍ َقدِير‬، ُ‫ َلهُ الُلْكُ وََلهُ الَ ْمد‬، ُ‫َشرِيكَ َله‬ ِ‫متفقٌ َعلَْيه‬

.ّ‫ وَل يَ ْنفَعُ ذَا الَدّ مِنْكَ الَد‬، َ‫وَل ُمعْ ِطيَ لِمَا مََنعْت‬

(there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him, His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent. O Allah! None can deny that which You bestow and none can bestow that which You hold back; and the greatness of the great will be of no avail to them against You)

ِ‫ َو ُحسْن‬، َ‫ وَ ُش ْكرِك‬، َ‫ اللّ ُهمّ أَعِنّي عَلَى ذِ ْكرِك‬: ُ‫أُوصِيكَ يَا ُمعَاذُ ل تَ َدعَنّ ف دُُبرِ كُلّ صَلَة َتقُول‬ ‫ رواه َأبُو داود بإسناد صحي‬.

َ‫عِبَادَِتك‬

(O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner)

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ : ِ‫ كَانَ رَسُولُ ال ِإذَا قَامَ إِلَى الصّ َلةِ يَكُونُ مِنْ آ ِخرِ مَا َيقُولُ بَيْنَ التّ َشهّدِ وَالتّسْلِيم‬: ‫وعن عليّ قال‬ َ‫ وَمَا أنْت‬، ُ‫ وَمَا أ ْس َرفْت‬، ُ‫ وَمَا أ ْسرَ ْرتُ َومَا أعْلَ ْنت‬، ُ‫ال ّل ُهمّ ا ْغ ِفرْ لِي مَا َقدّمْتُ َومَا أ ّخرْت‬ ‫ رواه مسلم‬.

َ‫ ل إلهَ إِل أنْت‬، ُ‫ وَأنْتَ الُ َؤخّر‬، ُ‫ أنْتَ الْ ُم َقدّم‬، ‫أعْ َلمُ ِبهِ مِنّي‬

(O Allah! Forgive my former and latter sins, which I have done secretly and those which I have done openly, and that I have wronged others, and those defaults of mine about which You have better knowledge than I have. You Alone can send whomever You will to Jannah, and You Alone can send whomever You will to Hell-fire. None has the right to be worshipped but You.)

ّ‫ سُبْحَانَكَ اللّ ُهم‬: ِ‫ كَانَ النبّ يُكِْثرُ أنْ َيقُولَ ف رُكُوعِهِ وَسُجُو ِده‬: ‫ قالت‬، ‫وعن عائشة َرضِيَ الُ عنها‬ ِ‫متفقٌ َعلَيْه‬

. ‫ اللّ ُهمّ ا ْغ ِفرْ لِي‬، َ‫ح ْمدِك‬ َ ِ‫َربّنَا وب‬

(O Allah! You are free from imperfection and I begin with praising You. Forgive my sins)

‫ بلى يَا‬: ‫ أل أدُلّكَ عَلَى َكنْزٍ مِنْ ُكنُوزِ الَّنةِ ؟ فقلت‬: ‫ قَالَ ل رسولُ ال‬: َ‫وعن أَب موسى قَال‬ ِ‫متفق َعلَْيه‬

. ِ‫ ل حَ ْولَ وَل ُق ّوةَ إِل بال‬: َ‫رسولَ ال قَال‬

Abu Musa (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to me, "Shall I not guide you to a treasure from the treasures of Jannah?" I said: "Yes, O Messenger of Allah!" Thereupon he (PBUH) said, "(Recite) 'La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah' (There is no change of a condition nor power except by Allah)." ‫رواه‬

.‫ والغِنَى‬، َ‫ والعَفَاف‬، ‫ والّتقَى‬، ‫ اللّ ُهمّ إنّي أسْألُكَ الُدَى‬: ‫وعن ابن مسعودٍ أنّ النبّ كَانَ يقول‬ ‫مسلم‬

(O Allah! I beseech You for guidance, piety, chastity and contentment)

: ِ‫لةَ ثُمّ أ َم َرهُ أنْ يَ ْد ُعوَ بِهؤلَءِ الكَلِمَات‬ َ ّ‫ كَانَ الرّجُلُ ِإذَا أسْلَمَ َعلّ َمهُ النّبّ الص‬: َ‫وعن طارق بن أَ ْشيَمَ قَال‬ ‫رواه مسلم‬

. ‫ وَارْ ُزقْنِي‬، ‫ وَعَافِن‬، ‫ وَاهْدِن‬، ‫ وَا ْرحَمْنِي‬، ‫ال ّل ُهمّ ا ْغ ِفرْ لِي‬

(O Allah! Forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, guard me against harm and provide me with sustenance and salvation)

ِ‫صرّفَ القُلُوب‬ َ ُ‫ ال ّل ُهمّ م‬: ‫ قَالَ رسُولُ ال‬: َ‫ قَال‬، ‫وعن عبد ال بن عمرو بن العاص رضي ال عنهما‬ ‫ رواه مسلم‬.

َ‫صرّفْ قُلُوبنَا عَلَى طَاعَِتك‬ َ

(O Allah! Controller of the hearts, direct our hearts to Your obedience)

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ ‫ ال ّل ُهمّ ِإنّي‬: ْ‫ قُل‬: َ‫ قَال‬، ‫ عَلّ ْمنِي ُدعَاءً َأ ْدعُو ِبهِ ف صَلَتِي‬: ‫ أنّه قَالَ لرسُولِ ال‬: ‫وعن أَب بكر الصديق‬ ، َ‫ فَا ْغ ِفرْ ل َمغْ ِف َرةً ِمنْ عِ ْندِك‬، َ‫ وَل َيغْ ِفرُ ال ّذنُوبَ إِل أنْت‬، ‫ظَلَمتُ َن ْفسِي ظُلْما كَثِيا‬ ِ‫ متفق َعَليْه‬.

ُ‫ إّنكَ أنْتَ ال َغفُورُ الرّحِيم‬، ‫وا ْرحَمْنِي‬

(O Allah! I have considerably wronged myself. There is none to forgive the sins but You. So grant me pardon and have mercy on me. You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Compassionate)

، ‫ وَمَا أنتَ أعْ َلمُ ِبهِ مِنّي‬، ُ‫ وَمَا أ ْسرَ ْرتُ َومَا أعْلَ ْنت‬، ُ‫ال ّل ُهمّ ا ْغ ِفرْ ل مَا َقدّمْتُ َومَا أ ّخرْت‬ ٌ‫ وأنْتَ عَلَى ُكلّ شَيْءٍ َقدِير‬، ُ‫ وأنْتَ الُ َؤخّر‬، ُ‫أنْتَ الُ َقدّم‬

ِ‫ متفق َعلَْيه‬.

(O Allah! Grant me pardon for those sins which I committed in the past and I may commit in future, which I committed in privacy or in public and all those sins of which You are better aware than me. You Alone can send whomever You will to Jannah, and You Alone can send whomever You will to Hell-fire and You are Omnipotent). ‫رواه الترمذي‬

. َ‫ضلِكَ عَمّنْ سِواك‬ ْ َ‫ وَأغْنِنِي بِف‬، َ‫للِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِك‬ َ َ‫ اللّ ُهمّ اكْفِن ِبح‬: ْ‫قُل‬

(O Allah! Grant me enough of what You make lawful so that I may dispense with what You make unlawful, and enable me by Your Grace to dispense with all but You).

َ‫ ُثمّ قَال‬، ‫ كَانَ رسول ال إِذَا أوَى ِإلَى فِرَاشِهِ نَامَ َعلَى ِشقّهِ ا َلْيمَن‬: َ‫ قَال‬، ‫ عن البَراءِ بن عازِبٍ رضي ال عنهما‬:

ُ‫ وَألْجَأت‬، َ‫ َوفَوّضْتُ أ ْمرِي إلَ ْيك‬، َ‫ وَ َو ّجهْتُ َو ْجهِي إلَيْك‬، َ‫ال ّل ُهمّ أسْلَمْتُ نفسي إلَيْك‬ ‫ آمَ ْنتُ بكِتَابِكَ الّذِي‬، َ‫ ل مَلْجَأ وَل مَنْجا مِنْكَ إِل إلَيك‬، َ‫ َرغَْبةً وَ َرهَْبةً إلَ ْيك‬، ‫َظ ْهرِي إلَيْك‬ ‫رواه البخاري‬

. َ‫ َونَبِّيكَ اّلذِي أ ْرسَلْت‬، َ‫أْنزَلْت‬

Whenever Messenger of Allah (PBUH) went to bed, he would lie down on his right side and recite: "Allahumma aslamtu nafsi ilaika, wa wajjahtu wajhi ilaika, wa fawwadtu amri ilaika, wa 'alja'tu zahri ilaika, raghbatan wa rahbatan ilaika, la malja'a wa la manja illa ilaika. Amantu bikitabikal-ladhi anzalta, wa nabiyyikal-ladhi arsalta [O Allah! I have submitted myself to You, I have turned my face to You, committed my affairs to You, and depend on You for protection out of desire for You and out of fear of You (expecting Your reward and fearing Your punishment). There is no refuge and no place of safety from You but with You. I believed in the Book You have revealed, and in the Prophet You have sent (i.e., Muhammad (PBUH)).]"

‫قَالَ رسولُ ال صلى ال عليه وسلم‬ ٌ‫ َلهُ الُ ْلكُ َوَلهُ الَ ْمدُ ؛ وَ ُهوَ عَلَى ُكلّ َشيْءٍ َقدِير‬، ُ‫مَنْ قَالَ ل إلهَ إِل الُ وَ ْح َدهُ ل شَريكَ َله‬ ، ٍ‫حَيتْ عَنْهُ ِمَئةُ َسّيَئة‬ ِ ُ‫ َوم‬، ٍ‫سَنة‬ َ َ‫ ف َيوْمٍ ِمَئةَ مَ ّرةٍ كَانَتْ لَهُ عَدْلَ عَشْرِ رِقَابٍ و ُكِتبَتْ لَهُ ِمَئةُ ح‬، ‫ وَلَمْ يَأتِ أَحَدٌ بِأَ ْفضَلَ مِمّا جَاءَ بِهِ إِل‬، ‫شيْطَانِ َي ْومَهُ ذَلِكَ َحتّى يُمْسِي‬ ّ ‫وَكَاَنتْ لَهُ حِرْزا مِنَ ال‬ ُ‫ حُ ّطتْ خَطَايَاه‬، ٍ‫ ف َي ْومٍ ِمَئةَ مَ ّرة‬، ِ‫ مَنْ قَالَ سُبْحَانَ ال َوبِحَ ْم ِده‬: ‫وقال‬. ُ‫َرجُلٌ عَمِلَ أ ْكثَرَ ِمنْه‬ ِ‫متفقٌ َعلَْيه‬

. ِ‫حر‬ ْ َ‫ وَإنْ كَاَنتْ ِمثْلَ َزبَدِ الب‬،

"He who utters a hundred times in a day these words: 'La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa 'ala kulli sha'in Qadir (there is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him; His is the sovereignty and His is the praise, and He is Omnipotent),' he will have a reward equivalent to that for emancipating ten slaves, a hundred good deeds will be recorded to his credit, hundred of his sins will be blotted out from his scroll, and he will be safeguarded against the devil on that day till the evening; and no one will exceed him in doing more excellent good deeds except someone who has recited these words more often than him. And he who utters: 'Subhan-Allahi wa bihamdihi (Allah is free from imperfection and His is the praise)' one hundred times a day, his sins will be obliterated even if they are equal to the extent of the foam of the ocean."
