What did they do?

Old Science Greek and Roman Plato, Socrates, Ptolemy • (Plato/Socrates) Asking questions to find answers was called the Socratic Method. • Ptolemaic System was Geocentric and stated that the sun and planets revolve around the Earth.

New Science Copernicus, Galileo

• Learn through Observation. Galileo invented a telescope to observe the solar system • Idea that the Sun is the center of the solar system was heliocentric created by Copernicus and proved by observations by Galileo.
