GLOCAL YOUNG LEADERS Philippines.Indonesia.Laos.Cambodia.Myanmar
25 January 2019 Juana Dela Cruz The Principal Flores Elementary School Flores, Umingan Pangasinan Dear Principal Dela Cruz, Greetings! May we invite your school to work with us in a project dedicated to Filipino Youths. This upcoming 11 February 2019, we will be simultaneously launching the Classroom Leadership Training in Elementary Schools located in Central Luzon and Southern Mindanao in which your school will be one of the first beneficiaries. This will be facilitated by Volunteers from Glocal Young Leaders Philippines and 84th Infantry Battalion, Philippine Army. The Glocal Young Leaders is a project founded by Five Young Southeast Asian Leadership Initiative from the Philippines, Indonesia, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar in partnership with the University of Nebraska at Omaha, USA and United States Embassy to the Philippines last September 2018. The goal of this project is to educate ASEAN youth on developing their leadership potential and discipline as well as providing career planning guidance. They will be trained as social change makers on their personal level and they will be guided to discover their inner strengths that will eventually introduce them to the community through civic engagement. The strategy for this project is ‘GLOCAL’ approach which will be a global platform where young local leaders can build a network with other nations while developing leadership, career and friendship. Likewise, we expect to reach out as much as young people from our country. On behalf of the Glocal Young Leaders Advocates, I would like to extend our grateful appreciation for considering this proposal. We are hoping to work with you soon save for the ASEAN and the country’s future leaders! Sincerely, Kriann V Inmachog Central Luzon Project Director Glocal Young Leaders, Philippines
