ABSTRACT THE FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE HANDLING OF ASTHMA FIRST AID BY FAMILY IN PULMONARY POLY RSUD dr. SOEDARSONO PASURUAN 2019

By Indri Ifadatul Khasanah*, Tri Nataliswati, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep**, Lucia Retnowati, SST., M.Kes** Asthma is an airway disease characterized by narrowing of the bronchi due to hyperreaction to something direct / physical or indirect stimulation. Without good management, asthma will tend to increase so that it can cause complications or death. Treatment of first aid when asthma needs to be considered because it affects the patient's prognosis. Many things that affect the handling of asthma first aid include knowledge and attitude factors. This study wanted to find out about any factors that affect the handling of first aid asthma carried out by the family to family members who have an asthma attack in the pulmonary poly of RSUD dr. Soedarsono pasuruan in 2019. This type of research is descriptive type, with a cross sectional approach. The sampling technique uses atechnique Non Probability Sampling by taking consecutive sampling samples and 34 respondents in this study. The measuring instrument used was in the form of a knowledge questionnaire, attitude and handling of asthma first aid. The analysis using the test Spearman Rank (Rho). Most respondents have good knowledge and treatment of first-aid asthma. The results of the analysis obtained p value <α, 0,000 <0,005 which indicates that there is an influence of knowledge on the handling of asthma first aid with the correlation coefficient Spearman of 0,994 showing a positive correlation with a strong correlation strength. Most respondents have a positive attitude and good management of asthma first aid. The results of the analysis were obtained (p value <α, 0,000 <0,005) which showed that there was an influence of attitudes towards the handling of asthma first aid with the correlation coefficient Spearman of 0.731 showing a positive correlation with a strong correlation strength.
