1.1 Human nervous system 1.1.1 Describe the structures and functions of human nervous system through drawings 1.1.2 Make a sequence to show the pathway of impulses in voluntary and involuntary actions 1.1.3 Justify the importance of human nervous system in life INTRODUCTION SET: (i) Teacher asks students to give examples of any actions that can be controlled and cannot be controlled by human. (ii) Teacher introduces the topic and explains the objectives and learning outcomes of the activity. ACTIVITY: DISCUSSION i) Teacher make a creative presentation on: - parts involved in the movement of impulses from the affector to the effector. - the pathways of impulses in voluntary and involuntary actions. ii) Students carry out activities to measure the speeds of response in catching a falling ruler. 1.1 Science is part of daily life 1.1.1 relate daily activities to Science. 1.1.2 generalise the meaning of Science. 1.1.3 summarise the importance of science in everyday life. INTRODUCTION SET: (i) Teacher asks students the meaning of science, then ask asks them to list many activities and relate it to science. (ii) Teacher introduces the topic and explains the objectives and learning outcomes of the activity. ACTIVITY 1: I THINK Students are divided into groups and asked to list out many activities that related to science. Other groups are asked to list the importance of science in everyday life. Students use an I think map. ACTIVITY 2: PRESENTATION After 20 minutes, students present their I think map.

REFLECTION

EVALUATION: 1. Students are asked to answer the questions in text book. 2. Discussion of answer. 3. Conclusion. About 80% students able to generalise the meaning of Science.
