Roman medicine By mark patterson
Galen • Galen was a Greek physician and philosopher and probably the most accomplished medical researcher of the Roman period.
Surgery • Surgery made a large impact on the development of medicine. E.g. if there was no development of surgery then where we were about 50 years ago we would only be at this point now.
Improvements • The Romans improved the public health system by introducing the water pumps in the centre of the street this allowed the residents of the street to develop cholera as the water the wasn’t fresh.
