Senior Engineer – Production Planning & Control

Accountabilities:  Handling capacity planning for the customer projection volume and ensuring the same in the production inventory.  Efficiently maintaining regular communications with team on departmental and individual level performance expectations.  Maintaining Stock management for all types of products and ensure the service level of a system.  Managing productivity study of the production process & this leads to decrease in production cost.  Ensuring and analysing if the product fails to reach the customer with in the stipulated time.  Maintaining and organizing day-to-day stock available for the continuous run of production and alerting the purchase department whenever the stock level should be the minimum level.  Ensuring FIFO (First In First Out) method in order to avoid the old inventory in the production system.  Retaining 8 to 10% safety stock in critical spare parts and there by ensuring the continuous production.  Day-to-day production plan needs to be discussed with the production department before starting the production and also ensuring the current existing stock in the production floor.  Monitoring and forecasting future demand and there by alerting the cross-functional team.
